Adelisa nodded when Lila and Jareth entered her line of sight. She stepped aside to let them in and moved to the bed. Her arms wrapped around one of the pillows and she sobbed into it. How could she cry more? It felt like she had been crying for ages. When she saw Grant's face as the whimper slipped from her lips, she knew what she needed to do. She knew it was all over for her and Grant. It only made it hurt worse. She hid her face into the pillow and almost screamed. Too many emotions were swirling around for her to scream. Instead, she remained silent. Like most of the time, she was silent about how she felt. Hold it in, Addy. I know it hurts, but hold it in, her mother's words trickling into her mind, poisoning her thoughts. Her mother called her Addy when she was younger… and when Grant called her Addy she felt so happy. It was only his nickname for her after her mother died. He was only allowed to call her that. Now, that name felt like a punch in the face. And Hunter? Why did he do that? Why did he kiss her? She had no clue it was even coming and he did the one thing she dispised: taking her control away. He took control over the situation and it made Adelisa hurt even more. He even said 'they were being assholes'. Doesn't that mean he wanted to get back at Amelia? Isn't that childish? She bit her bottom lip even more, to the point of blood, as she thought about Amelia. Amelia was her best friend -no sister- and Hunter used Dela to get to Amelia. Adelisa hated that word: used. She felt cheap and abhored. She was always used, though. She was used by Grant and hidden like a disgusting guilty pleasure. She was used by Hunter as a whore he could use to hurt Amelia. She was used by everyone. When could she find someone who wouldn't use her? When could she find someone that would not only take care of her, but let her take care of him? Was it too much to ask for? Was any love too much to ask for?
