He would follow suit and release a quick burst of void energy that after a distance solidified into a dome, this coupled with Violet's frontal barrier would make a good fall back for when whoever was dumb enough to run on the stage decided to wise up.  With what looked like the musician's version of artillery ready to turn them to dust...He'd rather be safe than sorry at this point.
