Airi
Airi heard a scream and began to get worried after remembering the lights that she saw. Looking by the doors, Sotoki and Kitsu were running towards the noise. She nudged her mother "G-Grandmother! Get out of here!", but her grandmother shook her head and instead called her to come near. "B-But..!" her grandmother stopped her and instead picked up something below the wooden altar and gave to Airi. On her hands was an amulet that can be worn as a necklace. Slowly, her grandmother said "Airi.. Did you know that the goddess of our shrine still lives?" Airi was a bit confused, but she attentively listend. "The story that I have told you about the gods sacrificing themselves in order to seal a very deadly being. Among the gods, one had survived for she is the Goddess of Life." and this very goddess is the one their shrine worships. "The goddess still lives, in this staff that you hold, but not entirely." It surprised Airi as it means that in her hands is basically a goddess. Her attention was caught by her grandmother once more. "Now then, listen to me Airi. This amulet can bring back the goddess for a short period of time. You must use this only when in dire need as it may be only possible for you to bring the goddess to life about once a day." her grandmother finished then both were startled by a sudden explosion from outside. "Go..! Help them and look for the rest of the shrine heirs-" she started to cough. Airi wanted to come close, but she was stopped. "Go Airi.." Following her grandmother, perhaps her last words, she went out of the shrine hall.
Nikko
Finally reaching the exit of the forest, Nikko started to become dizzy, leaning on an ent for support. He was quite tired. 'I should.. avoid more of that for now..' otherwise, it won't be good for him. Any more running will make him pass out. Looking in front, he couldn't believe what he saw. "T-This is.. horrible..!" he felt his stomach churning and looked away, not being able to take much of what is before him. Even the others couldn't take it from what he saw. Calming themselves, Harashi told Nikko to ride the ent instead. "Thanks.. I'll do that." Making the ent kneel, he sat on its arms and let it carry him. "Let's go." he wanted to get out of the place also. The sight of dismembered corpses, it wasn't good at all. But before they continued, he had turned one more tree into an ent just to reinforce their defense.
