Aftermath of the peace conference The peace conference had been long and exhausting for the Caliph and his delegation. Many propositions have been made and rejected. Some where outright ridicules while others had more chance of success. In the end the Caliphate had to give great concessions towards the treatment of religious minorities and the most radical parts of their Islamic laws. Many of the hardliners felt that the Caliph had given too much concessions towards the belligerent powers. When the agreement became public and the laws got changed initially many protest against the declaration. Official degree by the Caliph: Hereby the Caliph grants the following right to all religious minorities within the Caliphate. The right to practice their religion in private under Sharia law. However minorities are still subjects under Islamic law. Therefor they are not allowed to promote their religion, practice it in public, build new houses of worship and are legally bound to pay the Jizya. The Caliphate abolishes all forms of slavery. Setting minorities free to settle in the Caliphate or leave the country in search of a place they would feel more at home. Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople will be re-instated in Istanbul. Observers from the Coalition of Independent Antarctica will monitor the transition towards a more open society. Joining of Saudi-Arabia With an external conflict on multiple fronts prevented Caliph Mohammed Salah Ibn Al-Arabi faced a large internal challenge. Days after the Closing of the peace conference and the announcement of the changes in laws many Islamic hardliners have been hitting the streets in protests for days now. They did not agree on the concessions done towards Christianity by the Caliph regardless of the fact that these chances where more in line of the times of Mohamed. He realized that decisive action had to be taken before his nation would slip down a similar path as Mexico was taking. Sitting in his office he was listening to his close advisors as they argued about what was the best course of action. Some spoke in favor of oppressing the protest with force while others where in favor of a more cautious approach the the internal crisis. Ali Burnguz spoke up. “We need a victory. Something that would rally the people behind us. Can't we invade and occupy Kuweit?” A sudden silence filled the room as all the advisors overthought the proposal of war. A massive conflict has just been avoided and now they would give nations a casus belli to attack? That would not seem like the best course of action. The Caliph himselfs spoke up. “Ali is right, at least partial. We need a victory that would fill the people with joy. However we cannot achieve it through war. Also I doubt Kuwait would be a big enough of a price.” The minister of foreign affairs spoke again. “What would be a big enough of a price then?” The Caliph spoke calmly. “Mecca” Silence filled the room once more. Two days later a number of movies where uploaded to the Internet showing the current king of Saudi-Arabia engaging into gay sex. This brought giant discredit to a house that promoted Islamic values in public and was frequently talking down on the decadent western gay marriage. The outrage of the people within Saudi-Arabia was so great that the House of Al-Saud and its government fell within two days. The Sunni Brotherhood party took over and launched a referendum on joining the only true Islamic state. The official count was that 79% of the people voted in favor of joining the Caliphate and a couple of days later forces of the Caliphate crossed the border and where greeted by giant crowds waving the Caliphate flag in joy. As the official integration papers between the Saudi-Arabian government and the Caliphate where being signed all across the Caliphate giant crowds gathered to celebrate the joining to Mecca, the most holy of places for Islam. The concessions towards Christianity where forced to the background and opposition towards it faded away. Some whisper that the Caliphate had its hand in the sudden release of the compromising video's but such allogations have never been proven.
The open hostilities are still within our minds. The bound of trust have been broken and both our nations should start working towards repairing the damage that has been done. The great Caliph agrees that resuming trade between our nations is a good first step. Trade shall resume between our nations. The Caliph is greatly concerned about the civil unrest in Mexico. However to due the past hostilities between our nations the Caliphate will officially per-sue a path of neutrality. However the Caliph believes that Fascism is a dangerous ideology that should no longer get root within the Mexican Empire. The Caliphate wishes the dual monarchs of Mexico good luck in their struggle and hopes that they will prevail.

As stated in the offical peace agreement. The Caliphate will abolish slavery. We will grant the people of all religious minorities the freedom to settle themselves within the Caliphate or abroad. The Caliph hopes that all the Etheopian concerns are hereby addressed.

The Caliphate wishes to continue our defense pact in the Future. Even with conflict avoided the world is still a dangerous place and peace is an uncertainty. Also the Caliph believes that we should seek more member nations in order to safeguard our interests.
