More info: Kyne is the daughter of the Queen Matron in her clan, though she is the fifth in line to take the throne she is still considered royalty. She was orginally part of the royal guard for her clan but was selected and transferred to the guard of the Emperor to show good faith and dutifully followed his orders during the time that he ruled. The "Val'" before her clan name is a tital of respect and royalty, Alvuryden in the elven language means "Shadow Walkers", a referance to the royal guard of the Queen Matron who are a special group of soldiers titled Bladesingers. Though they are more commonly called Deathsingers.
