“Yes, let’s work together,” Dana said with equal enthusiasm. “Ah, but class is about to start. We should really get going before we’re late on the first day Claudia. Since we’re paired together in the same dorm room, we also have the same homeroom as well. That’s why I’m in a First Year room even though I’m a Second Year.” Dana reached out to gently grab at Claudia’s arm and pull her forward. Likewise, her other arm was pointing at the clock located just above their doorway to indicate the little time they had. The short girl bounced over to her bags to collect her things. However as she got her things ready to go, a frown soon creased onto her features. “Hey Claudia? I think I dropped my class schedule during all that trouble in the hallways. Do you mind if I take a look at yours for now until I get a new one? It's just to see what homeroom we'll be in together.” The girl flashed Claudia a look of expectancy, eyes tracing to her bag. She wanted the other girl to hand her the bags so she could have easier access to the supposedly lost schedule. Obviously this was the setup for something else, some ulterior motive at hand. And that was soon confirmed as Dana’s demeanor briefly turned into a knowing smirk. It was a look of pure strategy as she seemed to be conveying an unspoken message to her roommate. She knew that this girl wanted power; she could tell just by the way she carried herself and the mannerisms with which she spoke with. Dana was all too willing to help her out, provided Claudia could trust her. That was the purpose of the bag hand-off. A sign of trust between the two girls, a truce of sorts. An initiation for them both. And why not? They would be roommates so they might as well become fast friends for the benefit of the other.
