She has jet black hair reaching all the way to her waist and incredibly pale eyes, shifting between a crystal blue and the silver-grey known of Artemis. Jade stands at 5'10" but her thin frame and shoe choices often make her look taller than she actually is. Maintaining her figure through various workouts, Jade holds great pride in her physical abilities and has a habit of showing off her accomplishments through her sparse outfits.
Skills: Jade is a pretty decent fighter when it comes to hand to hand combat, but is unrivaled when it comes to archery. An expert archer, Jade has no problems shooting down a moving target, even when she herself is moving. Just a step below her archery skills is her swordsmanship, an advanced fighter when it comes to a lighter blade or dagger. Having had a need to train her entire life, Jade built up her strength, stamina and flexibility through gymnastics as a kid. She is quite limber and uses every bit of it to her advantage when it comes to a fight. Powers: Like most hunters Jade can speak to wild animals, however her ability stretches a bit farther than simple understanding. Formally known as Animal Scrying, Jade has the ability to tap into the senses of the animals she speaks to. This ability only allows Jade to become a spectator, unable to control the actions of the animal she is sensing through. While her ability to speak with animals lessens the disadvantages of not being able to control the animal while scrying, her body is still left vulnerable to attack while she scouts ahead. Because of this, Jade is careful not to use it too often. Aside from her unusual animal-related power, Jade has the standard hunter's gifts. She can summon her bow and arrows whenever she requires them and is naturally faster than most demigods and nymphs. For an unknown reason, Jade's strength matches that of a normal demigod's instead of her fellow hunters. Personality: Jadaria is both a proud and opinionated person, a combination that more often than not ends in confrontation. She claims to prefer taking a neutral stance, however to her that just means sitting back and observing until an opportunity to strike reveals itself. Two terms that best describe Jade are strong-willed and loyal, an amazing person to have as a teammate and/or friend. Partly to do with her inability to filter her thoughts, Jade doesn't have many friends but she cherishes the ones she has with everything she's got. Often taking on the protector roll, Jadaria sees herself as a defender of the weak, putting herself between bullies and their victims without a second thought. Despite her cold demeanor towards others, Jadaria is a gentle and caring person (unless you piss her off), she just doesn't trust easily. Unless hunting or participating in one of the many CHB "games", Jadaria will usually keep to herself and can be found training in one of many different ways. History: Despite being a claimed daughter of Artemis, Jadaria obviously shares no blood relation to the woman she considers to be her mother. Before her birth, Jadaria's biological mother grew very ill and almost died along with her baby. The woman prayed that she would at least get to deliver her unborn child before she passed, a prayer heard and answered by Artemis. Her intervention, however, did not leave the baby unaffected. When Jadaria was born she resembled the goddess closely, right down to the unique eye color and silver aura. For the first couple of years of her life, Jadaria matured much faster than considered normal, but not so much as to draw attention from outside the family. Raised only by her father, Jadaria quickly learned how to take care of herself so that she could help out around the house. Whenever questioned about her mother, her father would dance around the question, never quite giving a description of the woman he loved for fear of Jade finding out the truth. Feeling a sort of disconnect from other people, Jade went through school without any friends, instead playing on her own. Finding greater interest in physical activities, Jade asked to start gymnastics, an activity she would carry on with even after starting at CHB. It wasn't until she turned thirteen that Jade's father finally told her the whole truth about her mother's death, and her birth. Fascinated with the story, she demanded that her father took her to the camp that he had been told about. A bittersweet departing from her father, Jade promised to return and spend time with him once she had figured herself out. It took a while but Artemis finally came to claim Jadaria in person when she and her hunters passed through after a hunt. The meeting she had with Artemis sealed her fate forever on, Jade pledging an undying loyalty to the woman responsible for giving her a chance at life. Ever since Jadaria has split her time between training at CHB and hunting with Artemis, sending her father letters every so often. Like the hunters she has given up all relationships with men besides her father, the one person to have raised her. He has short black hair, and maroon eyes (reminiscent of his father's flame filled sockets). Similar to his father, Caden's skin is gently tanned, but is a feature he inherited from his Arabic mother. He can usually be found dressed in black clothing, ranging from sweats to suites, and always carries around a pair of sunglasses and the baseball bat he inherited from his father.
Skills: When it comes to fighting, Caden prefers to fight head on. Despite not being very fast, Caden relies on his brute strength and his fists to defend him. Surprisingly strong for his appearance, Caden has no issues when it comes to a fist fight, and can take more hits than he's given credit for. Despite his preference for a fist fight, Caden has great skill with the godly weapon his father gifted to him. Even though the original form is a long sword, the weapon presents itself as an aluminum baseball bat until Caden chooses which weapon to use. He's partial to blades, usually using the two-handed broadsword or scythe when his fists aren't enough. And the most surprising skill Caden posseses is his voice. He does his best to keep it hidden from the other campers but when he's alone Caden loves to sing. As expected he has a knack for rock but it isn't the only genre he can sing. The only genre he hates is country, and will become extremely irritated by the sound. Powers: Caden posses most of the abilities granted to those in Ares' cabin: Enhanced strength and combat skills, a natural with all weapons, and war strategy expertise. However he lacks the enhanced swiftness due to his increased strength and does not posses the ability to curse the weapons of his opponents. Additionally Caden has a limited amount of Pyrokinesis. His control of fire is limited to the flames already present, however if his life is in danger, the air around him will ignite to ward off a single attack. His pyrokinesis also leaves him feeling drained afterwards, so he uses it only when he needs to. While unaware of this ability, Caden possesses Odikenesis: the control over the feeling and emotions of war. Caden's prescense will either make those around him restless and easier to pick a fight with or completely calm and confident (depends on Caden's mood). He has no awareness or control over this ability, and it has no discrimination between friend and foe. Personality: Your typical son of Ares, Caden loves to show off his strength. Known for picking fights around CHB, Caden has a tendency to duel anyone who irritates him or catches his eye. Unlike some of his half-siblings present and past, Caden does not throw his strength around as a bully and seems to follow a personal code. He's the kind of guy who will never attack an unarmed opponent without good reason, but will beat the crap out of someone using their strength to threaten others into doing their bidding. And despite being irritated by those weak of mind and body, Caden won't hesitate to defend a member of his "team" in battle. Hidden behind his macho mask, Caden can be quite insecure about himself. Being socially awkward has led him to violent outburts which have scared off any friends Caden might have been able to make. Usually able to turn his insecurities into rage, comments about his lack of connection with people have the power to throw the child of Ares completely off his game. Secretly sensitive, Caden has great love for animals and music, and only wishes for one person to understand and accept him. History: Always an agressive child, Caden grew up dissapointing the mother he loved so greatly. She did her best to hide her tears from him, but Caden could always tell when he'd upset her, thus furthering his inner turmoil. With nowhere for him to release his anger, Caden would get into fist fights with any kid that even irritated him a little bit.... Which was just about every kid on the play ground. Constantly suspended and eventually expelled, Caden moved from school to school but usually ended up wandering the streets with nothing to do. Having given up on trying to integrate him with society, Caden's mother began homeschooling him. Finally being taught by someone who understood him, Caden began to calm down some, happy to make his mother proud for once. Often he would sit around and listen to his mother play the piano, singing along with her whenever they had a free moment. It was during these times that you could barely tell he was the son of a war god, but it wasn't to last. When he turned 12, he began noticing strange things about the world around him. Before his mother could explain what was happening, the pair was attacked by two "robbers". To this day he didn't know what kind of creatures had attacked them, but he knew for sure that they couldn't have been normal humans. Witnessing one of the attackers strike his mother, Caden lost it, fighting blindly through rage. In his fit of rage he killed the one, and injured the other, but he was outmatched in his inexperience. When he woke up, Caden found himself in the camp's infirmary, having been dropped off by his worried mother. Misunderstanding the situation, Caden still feels as if he'd been abandoned by his mother. This caused him to revert to his old ways for a good two years before he "grew up" and designed himself a code to live by. Now he has better control of himself but still maintains a short temper, even with the other memebers of his cabin. It took the whole first year of his stay at CHB for Ares to officially claim Caden but in doing so, it further pushed Caden to do better and make his father proud. Weapons in his hands never lasted long however, and mid-way through his third year, Ares sent his own "sword" to give Caden a weapon worthy of his strength, having earned it through the various battles he's had to fight with his bare fists.
