Unfortunately, I'm going to have to wave the white flag on this one.  Work tomorrow combined with a lack of motivation to finish my piece over the 4th of July weekend has caused me to hit a brick wall.  I'll post a plot summary of what I wanted to do tomorrow (or whenever the voting thread is put up and I am back from work).
