Name: Alistair Bartram Age: 16 Gender: Male # Of Years You've Attended CHB: 4 Godly Parent: Hades Which Side You're On: Neutral Skills: Alistair grew up with a knack for gambling. He is good at playing card games (especially if money is involved) and has a gut feeling that tells him whether or not he is making good decisions. Alistair can read other people very well and what they want. He is very good with numbers and his memory is top notch. He uses a pitchfork as a weapon. Alistair can use swords but prefers his pitchfork because he was taught how to fight with spears. Being a son of Hades, Alistair has a deep connection with money. He can count large amounts at a time and always finds a way to make more. Powers: Osteokinesis: Alistair is able summon and telekinetically to control bones. Alistair can manipulate up to three or four full skeletons at a time. He can also make full body armor out of bones was well. When he does not have a weapon on hand he can summon a sword made of bones. When he needs a friend he usually summons a skeleton to talk to or just a skull, but it can't talk back. Alistair needs concentration to use this power, and although he usually he has it, if he is distracted everything will fall apart. Necromancy: Alistair has authority and control over the dead, as well as many monsters native to Hades' realm, such as the Furies. He can reanimate the skeletons he creates, and destroy them. That power is very draining but he can do it to three skeletons at a time. Alistair can also summon the undead. He does not do it often, only because it is hard for him to banish them back. Umbrakinesis: Alistair has limited control over darkness and shadows for various uses. Alistair has not fully developed his shadow manipulation. He can move others shadows and make them disappear for a time, also he can, make small shapes. His shadow travel is very weak as well, he can only travel short distances, and while this may come in-handy in combat but for longer trips it is tiring. Personality: Alistair is a very laid back person. He does not enjoy conflict or work in general. He will most likely disregard orders especially if they require him to do extra work. Alistair most like will only take orders from those he has respect for or those he fears, and both list are short. Like his father Alistair is very honorable and takes the deals and risk seriously. He is the world’s greatest loan shark; if someone were to owe him money he always finds a way to get his payment. Alistair’s honor has no bounds; he always keeps his word if he ever gives it and never breaks a promise. One thing that can be said about him is that he never makes threats just promises. History: Alistair’s mother was a floor manager at the Luxor on the strip. Hades enjoyed the casinos and hotels in Vegas because they were filled with desperation and greed. Hades met her while he was playing Blackjack at one of her tables. He was hot and they called her in to watch over the game. Little did she know that the god was manipulating the game in his favor. It was not like Hades needed the money, he just like to make others miserable. She came over and asked him to find another game. After surviving the death glare of Hades, she gave her own back and immediately earned his respect. For the next few nights he would come in, play a table until she was called over to ask him to leave. Finally after a month of visits, Hades took her out on a date. After a short lived relationship and nine months, Alistair was born. He was raised in New Orleans by his grandmother. During his childhood, he hated being told what to do. His teachers and guardian alike would call his mother and complain about something he and done that week. In school, Alistair could be the bad boy on campus that plays sports. He played football, baseball, and enjoyed running track. These would be the only extracurricular activities that he would do. As he got old his laziness got worse. When he turned 13 he was sent back to his mother due to a big incident. He beat up 5 kids to near death when they would not pay him the money they owed him from a game of dice. His deep obsession with money might be one of the only things that will get him over his laziness. But for him it is not just money, things of value are what important to him and they always will be. He was sent to his mother back in Las Vegas after the incident. Once he arrived he had been developing powers. Just along the lines of talking to the dead. While in Vegas a satyr found him playing with undead cats and brought him back to Camp Half-Blood with his mother’s permission. His first year there he made no friends and had bad reports with all of his instructors. Most of the time you would see him with a skeleton or two by himself. He found his skill with the spear by accident when he actually tried to apply himself to his combat training. The first time he went to the underworld it was by accident, he found out that he had the power to travel there using the shadows and he met his father. It wasn’t the best first meeting but it wasn’t bad either. Alistair played a round of Poker with Hades for a weapon and some training in exchange for his soul. He won and Hades said he would train him. So whenever he would not be doing anything he would go see his father and learn how to use a pitchfork in combat. Alistair was given the name “The Sloth King of Bones” by Hades in his third year, due to his laziness. Hades said that “it takes skill to be that complacent and lazy.” In honor of this Hades gave him a pitchfork made of bone from Cerberus’ fang and black obsidian, Alistair named it Belphegor. Now it was a new year for him. He was headed back to camp with new tricks and more sleeping to do, and maybe something to gain.
