Indeed, If you read between the lines in our post we've purposely not included any form of electrical lighting for that very reason. Like Vigil has to use a lighter or moonlight to see, Max's night vision kicks in. 


They simply might not know why it's so dark yet, but they are certainly currently affected by it.

I'm sure others have or will notice it too. If not, some buildings might have back up generators as a reason.[@DJAtomika]
