Name(First and Last): Dante Elena Guerrez Age: 17 Gender: Female # Of Years You've Attended CHB: 3 Godly Parent: Hades Which Side You're On: Neutral Appearance: Dante usually wears a black hoodie over her orange CHB tee, black shorts and black combat boots. She, much to her chagrin, is pretty short, coming to about 5"4. Skills: Dante is a terrible archer and a poor fistfighter when she doesn't have access to her shadow travel. Her weapon of choice is her Stygian sword, which has the ability to drain it's victim's essence with just a scratch. The sword is about three feet long, and has a menacing presence. Dante rarely uses it though because it's so overpowered, and prefers her Celestial gold knives. She's bad at aiming things in general, so it not very good with throwing things either. She is a fast runner, although not as fast as a Hermes kid. Powers: Umbrakinesis- She can control shadows and darkness, and is a highly proficient shadow traveller, using any spot of darkness available to her advantage in a fight. She can also travel fairly long distances without too much trouble. Cryokinesis- She can control the cold and mists to a limited extent. Not a very useful ability, but she likes cold weather. Control of the dead- Dante can summon ghosts and other denizens of the Underworld to talk to her, although they don't always do her bidding. She can also summon a few skeletons at a time for a fight. Personality: Dante doesn't seem to be very approachable. She's very competitive, and extremely stubborn when she knows she's right. She's sarcastic and easily irritated, by others and by her own failure at anything. Even so, she doesn't hold a grudge and when she laughs, laughs long and loud. History: Dante's mother, Solana Guerrez was a skilled stock broker, making millions of dollars a year, trading in gold and other precious gems. She was ambitious and loved her work, but her main love was beautiful objects. She loved diamonds, garnets, any precious rock. She had a knack for finding and evaluating these things, which was her passion. This pure adoration for earth's riches attracted Hades, although it was a one night stand. He was fascinated, but not enamoured. Dante was born nine months later into a privileged life. Her mother hadn't slowed down with her work one bit, and had to the contrary become more successful. They lived in NYC, in a glamorous penthouse. Despite her busy life, she always had time for her much adored daughter and they grew up close. Dante inherited her stubborn and fiery nature, and copper locks. She grew up a serious child, stubborn and responsible. She had a curious obsession with death and the afterlife, and summoned a ghost for the first time when she was thirteen. This was the first incarnation of her abilities. It started to attract monsters from all over, and by that time Dante had an idea of what was going on. One ghost had told her she must be the child of Hades, and she accepted it. The idea intrinsically made sense. She narrowly evaded the first two monster attacks, and in the middle of the third one was found by a satyr who took her to CHB where she was claimed on arrival. Each summer after that she would travel to the Underworld, fighting monsters there and talking to ghosts. When she turned sixteen she met Hades for the first time, and he gave her the Stygian iron sword, pleased with her demeanour. He thought she understood the nature of his role, and showed mild affection to her for that, even though they haven't talked again since. Dante stays at the camp year round and visits her mother once in a while. She doesn't know much about the war that's going on, only that she doesn't particularly like any of the gods enough to side with them. She spends a lot of her time in the underworld.
