She sighed when she heard the water turn on and look curiously around his room. She had figured out that Zayden must not know about his father and since she did not want to incur the wrath of said father she opted for keeping her mouth. It’s not like she had anything to gain from telling Zayden in any case. Especially since his father probably wanted his son ignorant for a reason. She looked at the door that was keeping her from seeing Zayden’s aura. With a huff, she planted her face into the sheets. She took a deep breath and froze at how good they smelled. It wasn’t fair, she thought with a pout as she stood and walked around his room touching things to get a better feel of the things he had in his room. She was about to leave his room and maybe explore but felt a pulse come from where Zayden was before nothing. She felt his panic as if it were her own and heard a rather loud curse followed by a much softer one. Before she could stop herself she entered the bathroom and stilled when she realized that she had probably overreacted and swiftly returned to his bed to feign sleep when she heard him call her name, all the while cursing herself in her head for making an even bigger fool of herself. When would her embarrassment end, she couldn’t help but think bitterly.
