Middas, 27 of Last Seed We rode up to Solitude by sundown, and what else would you see in the great capital other than an execution? A crowd had gathered and everything, and then they lobbed his head clean off… and the blood that poured from his wound, it looked so captivating. I hope this isn’t becoming an obsession. I’ve fed once before; I did it a few days ago in Braidwood when nobody was watching. It was enjoyable, downright fantastic even. After I ate, I was as I’d be after a feast; full and happy. But that was days ago, and watching that blood gush was like looking upon a chef carving a nice fat turkey. I’m hungry, I need more blood. After the beheading we climbed the stairways to Castle Dour where the Imperial forces are based out of in Skyrim. General Tullius was inside, and I was actually quite honored to meet such a prestigious and decorated man. We exchanged a few words but I was ultimately turned over to a woman who I believe was named Legate Rikke. I told her of my previous work, about how I’ve taken care of various men and women that the Empire wanted dead in Cyrodiil. I couldn’t tell if she was impressed or not; I’d like to think so given the initiation process I was presented with. Take out a band of outlaws in the Hraggstad fort. I told her that bandits were my specialty; the fort was already theirs. Sure enough, me and Stenvar hiked up to the fort and cleared it out, no problem. If the Stormcloak’s are this easy, then we’ll have victory parades in a week’s time. Actually, I know it won’t be, which makes me partly excited. With that out of the way, I had proven myself to the cause and then stated aloud this oath forever binding my life to the Imperial Legion. “Upon my honor I do swear undying loyalty to the Emperor, Titus Mede II, and unwavering obedience to the officers of his great empire. May those above judge me, and those below take me, if I fail in my duty. Long live the Emperor, long live the Empire.” Which, may be a long time actually. Now I’ve been instructed to go to an Imperial camp outside of the Korvanjund tomb. There lies something called the jagged crown, a very important relic to Skyrim that may provide legitimacy to Queen Elisif the Fair against Ulfric Stormcloak. This may actually be my first skirmish against large forces, and I hope I’m prepared.
