It was a rare occasion for someone to get the drop of Jade, though she wasn't infailable, Jade chocked her failure up to the loud crackling for the burning building. The woman's words brought a smile to Jade's face as she leaned into her as the woman spoke into her ear. Jade couldn't hide the laugh in her voice as she turned to look at the woman, Jade's brow furrowed as she saw the inhuman likeness in her eyes. Instantly on guard, Jade knelt on one knee in the room, sweat rolling off of her as the heat seemed to intensify. She was suddenly re-evaluating her battle partner...and wondering if she might actually be her opponent, rather than her ally. Whilst assessing the situation, Jade continued the idle conversation.
