The Reaper >>> Location Drydock Luna 1211 >>> Earth's orbit "Captain on deck!" Simultaneously all hands in the bridge stood up to attention as Ghost walked in. Glancing round Ghost made his way to his command console placing his palm on the scanner. "At ease all. You know i hate that formality stuff" Reading the orders from Titian HQ he grunted and signaled for his communications officer to give him ship wide coms "Right, Listen up For those of you that are new upon The Reaper. I am ghost, your captain, We are the first in the New line of Dreadnaughts and so far we have never taken any casualties. I want that to stay the same, so everyone do your jobs well and we will all get home quicker" Pausing for a few moments to collect his thoughts, Ghost wondered how it would be, to be apart of sigma and how different the operations would be. We are now apart of Sigma. A level 5 sections of the the GNAS, all operations are beyond top secret so whatever happens when we leave drydock Didn't happen. Our first mission is to move to the scol system to randevu with the other captains in the fleet before moving to the crux-Scutum Cluster to take part in a planetside rescue of a HVT. This is a training exercise so have simulation rounds loaded. I want Phantum two and Four to be ready to go at a moments notice, Ground team i want Foxtrot heavy and Golf support to gear up and load in the the ships ready. I dont know what we will be facing so be prepared for anything" Moving back from his console and over to the navigator giving him the nod to initiate launch. The Ship's engines started to grumble and the familiar rattle as the ship began to leave the dry dock "Reaper this is Luna 1211, you are clear of drydock, move to Vector 089221 before jumping, there is a EUA Inner system patrol moving around this area. Without a word from the Captain the crew altered course, it was about 30 minutes before the reaper was ready to jump Engine crews gave the clear and the warning lights whirled warning that jump was taking place. Jumping in 3...2...1...JUMP For a ship the size of the Reaper, FTL jumps are always rocky at first, FTL lag was common on ships exceeding 1.5KM in length, but once the flight had stabled out there was nothing to worry about. One hour had passed, all combat checks were busy being complete, crews were gearing up and the ACMC was having its systems checked. Ghost made a habit of getting his crew to check everything over and over. He didn't want to leave anything to chance. strolling about the bridge he looked over shoulders, and spoke to the crew making sure everything was set, All hands. Coming out of FTL in 5 minutes. Buckle up as we deaccelerate >> Location Schol system >> Vector 99312115 The ships slowly decreased in speed, the rattling became just a distant memory, the all clear was given by the navigator that we was in 50KM of the randevu point. Scans indicated that The Reaper was first in the system and that was no signs of any hostiles, Ghost ordered that the ships Point defenses was to remain live until the other ships came into support. The long range radar picked up nothing yet, but it was difficult even for the reaper to pick ships up that was in FTL JUMP. cruising at full speed it was only 12 minutes before it arrived at the point. Now it was a waiting game. Due to restrictions when it came to intel he didn't know who the other Captains were. All he knew was the fleet was Heavy And had a lot of firepower should the need arise. A voice came over the comms Ghost, Phantum Two and four are good to go, ground teams have loaded up also, We shall wait on your Mark It was about time they was ready, in future he would need the reaction time to be 3 times faster, but seen as everyone is still adjusting to life on ship again he will let it slide for now. "Raven Team one and two i want you to launch in 3 minutes and start patrolling the area.Live rounds only. we are not in the testing area yet. He wasn't taking any chances, better safe than sorry in most cases and this time wouldn't be any different.
