"Captain," A crew member stated before stopping in the middle of the hallway, raising his hand up to his forehead, causing Solarin to stop in his tracks and stare at the crew member. Solarin' eyes scanned the crew member, noting his absolutely dirty sort of "tracksuit" he was wearing, with what seemed to be oil and grime all over him, black spots littering it self on the outfit of the crew member. "At ease," Solarin stated before his eyes reached that of the crew member's. He glossed over the crew member's face, taking note of the rather finer details of the young human engineer who was assigned to the HYS Mundus. "How do you do..." Solarin stopped speaking, waiting for the crew member to perhaps catch the hint that he was waiting for him to speak his name. It was impossible for Solarin to memorize all of the names of the people onboard of the Mundus -- although that didn't exactly stop him from trying the first time he walked on board the Mundus as a sort of "tour." "The name is Lan," The crew member said after a few seconds of silence, causing Solarin to nod as the name entered his ears, hoping that he would be able to perhaps remember the name instead of forgetting it like the countless of other names he had shamefully forgotten. Lan held out his arm, waiting for Solarin to take it, a bright grin on his face. Solarin, without any sort of hesitation, leaned in, shaking the hand with a rather firm grip before standing up right. "I'm a pilot on board the Mundus, I'll be piloting one of the Strikers," Solarin raised his eyebrow as he heard Lan speak. "A pilot?" Solarin asked, his curiosity piqued. "I thought you were an engineer with your rather... dirty uniform," "No sir," Lan stated, his tone full of respect, yet with a hint of pride. "I prefer to handle my own ship rather than let the engineers toy around with it. They don't know what I like, see?" "Ah," Solarin nodded slightly, being able to somewhat grasp what Lan was getting at. "I see." A few seconds passed as Solarin averted his gaze towards the ceiling until finally leaning in to pat the pilot on the shoulder -- an action that he was hesitant to take. "What rank are you, Lan?" "I'm the Squadron Leader, sir," Solarin's eyes widened as he stared at the rather young human. It was remarkable to think that such a young boy could ever achieve the rank, being in charge of multiple men -- perhaps even hundreds -- as they fly in the stars; but then again, Solarin was a rather young captain himself, having just gotten out of the academy before being assigned to the Mundus. "Remarkable--" "Captain Solarin, please report to the bridge," A female voice spoke over the intercoms, which rather surprised Solarin, seeing as how there was no type of static over the intercom as she spoke -- something he wasn't used to back in the academy. "I repeat, Captain Solarin, please report to the bridge," "Well then," Lan began before taking a step forward to the right, past Solarin. "I'll be seeing you later, captain," And with that, the young human began to pace down the hallway, leaving Solarin to stare at the back of his uniform as he walked down the hallway. "I'll be awaiting your orders while I'm flying about in the stars, captain!"

"Sir," A female operator spoke out -- presumably the same one who spoke over the intercom system -- as Solarin entered the bridge area. He stopped as he took a single step into the room, gasping in awe as he stared at everyone in the rather large bridge area. There were crew members -- "operators" as the Hypharin Starfleet liked to call them -- in the bridge, working tirelessly on their computers, typing away as they effortlessly made sure that the Mundus was safe. How they did it -- or what they did -- Solarin had no idea, but Solarin had much thanks to give to them and their astonishing work. "What's our mission?" Solarin stated as he began to walk forward towards the chair that sat in the middle of the room, taking a seat in it as he stared forward towards the large screen that covered the entire wall at the end of the room, the screen showing the outside. "Hypharin Starfleet told me we would have a mission today, what's our mission--" "Message for you, sir," One of the operators spoke out, causing Solarin to look slightly towards his right where a rather large screen sat -- no bigger than that of a computer screen. Solarin slowly began to flick his fingers around on the screen before finally, a rather large message appeared on the screen. His eyes quickly scanned through the message, causing his eyes to light up with an excited sort of flare. "Prepare for an FTL jump to the Scol System!" Solarin shouted out into the bridge, causing every operator to stop what they were doing and turn around, their pair of eyes facing him. "Yes, sir!" An operator shouted out. "Please prepare for an FTL jump," A voice spoke over the intercom. "We will be jumping in one minute," Solarin gave a slight nod to himself as he placed both of his hands on the arm rest of the chair, satisfied that the orders he were given were being executed, even if his orders didn't have any sort of context behind them, his crew listened to him. "Perhaps we should tell them about Sigma?" A rather low-toned voice came from the side of Solarin, causing his head to dart over to his left, over to see his first mate standing there, her white blonde-ish hair catching his attention away from the fact that she had a cigarette in her mouth. Slowly, she moved forward, walking down a few steps before taking a seat in the chair directly in front of Solarin -- although it was two or three feet lower. "Later, when our mission is fulfilled," "Roger that, captain," She said the last word with a sort of rebellious tone. Solarin sighed, not daring to call her out on it. It had been this way for the past month or so. He didn't exactly think that his first mate -- his second-in-command in case anything went wrong with him -- liked him in a professional way or in a non-professional way. After a moment or two, the Mundus reappeared in the system. "Multiple other ships detected, captain!" An operator shouted out. "Friendly?" His first mate yelled out. "Appears to be, sir!" A different operator spoke out. "Sarah, do you mind putting out the cigarette?" Solarin asked, only to be met with a rather harsh glare from her. The smoke had begun to annoy Solarin for quite a while, but he hadn't dared to announce it until he had coughed once or twice. He didn't want to perhaps antagonize her, seeing as how the two of them would be working on board the same ship for quite some time. "The name is commander Loklan, sir," And with that, Loklan took out the cigarette from her lips, holding out her hand before dropping the cigarette to the floor. Solarin gave out a heavy sigh. "Establish a communications link to the other ships!" Solarin yelled out. "Yes, sir!" An operator spoke out. "It's done, sir!" "This is the HYS Mundus," Solarin began. "I am Captain Solarin of this ship--" Solarin stopped himself, having seemingly messed up what he wanted to say. "... The HYS Mundus, reporting in."
