As she sat down she picked up the menu from the holder on the table and began browsing the food. Her stomach growling slightly, she gave it a light pat to shush it and jumped slightly when Miles began to speak. She once again laughed at his attempt to start a conversation. She had figured he wasnt used to being treated like a person. Especially from his words to her in the car when she gave him the shotgun seat. Christa gave him a kind genuine smile in response to his question as she remembered Ruby her childhood bestie. "My best friend ever since I was born was a Lop Eared Rabbit Anthro. Ruby and I spent hours and hours getting up to mischief and making our parents lose their minds attempting to look after us" She said laughing a little. Her smile faded as she once again remembered how her and her mother had just disappeared one night and never came back. "I also want you to realise, I have been ridiculed - As has my mother - for being 'Anthro Sympathisers' .. I also couldnt give less of a shit either. You are a person. Sure you have canine features mixed with human but regardless, you are a person, and I will treat you as such. So you are going to have to get used to that Miles" She said smiling softly, using his real name and not his silly code name that the police gave him. "I want you to understand this, you are my partner now. You will not ride in the back with the criminals, you are my partner. You will not eat dog food while youre with me, you will eat people food, you are a person. If you have an opinion, or you think what I say is a bad idea, I want you to say it. Im new to this, you have had more experience in this field, I will take what you say into consideration. Again, we are partners, I learn from you, you learn from me. Thats how two human partners work so why should it be any different just cause you got fur? Thats right, it shouldnt." she said smiling at him once again. "I have got your back, no matter what happens. I hope you do the same for me" She said as she grabbed his hand and give it a reassuring squeeze before giving him a sincere smile. "Also, the names Christa, but you can call me Chrissy if you like...anything but Ma'am... " she said with a wink as the waitress came over. Christa smiled at the waitress and ordered her food with a cold drink, it was a warm day today. The waitress then looked over at Miles, awaiting his order.
