Reign of the Ashlord

A Dungeons and Dragons Adventure Hosted by the Roleplayer Guild Created by Ultikana Re, the Bane of Ash
Under Construction – Coming Soon!
Introduction
The Ashlord wakes from his vile throne and tears the Once-Grand Cities apart. Black wings of ashen thunder fly across the continents. Now is the time for heroes. All civilization flees to the last great city – Fyrdgard. Only the brave will explore beyond. The brave are few in number, but their hearts are strong. With this the Viligant Order set foot upon the shaded surface, making their way to the Isle of Ash.
Areas
Fyrdgard - Upper City (1-2) Military District (Fyrdgard Citadel, Dirtrasza Prison, Capitol Halls*), Residential District (Noble's Walk, Gilded Streets, Palace Court), Market Dsitrict (Highblood Exchange, Bountytrader's Plaza, Stonemason's Hall), Spires of the Spelllords (Spire of Descent, Spire of the Gates, Archmage Rise, Spire of the Arbormancerers, Spire of the Groundraisers, Spire of the Grand Warden, The Grand Balcony). Fyrdgard is the last of the 9 Grand Cities of Katazia. lifted into the air by the Grand Warden Kij'Oden, the magnificent old towers of the magically propelled city rise above the Shadelands. The Upper City is home to the powerful and wealthy of Fyrdgard. The mystical Spires of the Spellords provide the city's upkeep, as well as an elevator to the newly contracted Lower City. Fyrdgard - Lower City (2-3) Tavern District (Blackboar's Horns, Jitilio's Catina, Slumwood Pyre), Slums (Soggden Street, The Crossroads, Sludgecanal Lane, Tyrgard Refugee Camps), Swindle Square (Shaded Plaza, Crestfallen Alley, Tainttimber Exchange), Old Serwersville* (The Grand Anchor, Fyrdgard Enforcer's Headquarters, Spire of Ascent), Vagabond's Hideaway (Gem-Laden Halls, Newpalace Street, Brotherhood's Sanctum). Constructed from the expansive sewers of Old Fyrdgard, the slums carry a stench of putrid air and the taverns are ruled by powerful cartels, holding sway over the dissatisfied and poor of Fyrdgard. Recently with the arrival of the airship Syllidon from the Ruins of Tyrgard, Tyrgard Refugees have entered the slums. Due to old racial feuds between the cities, this has caused even further unrest in the populace. A mysterious organization known as the Brotherhood of the New Dawn has been reported as kidnapping and publicly executing the refugees. As if on cue to add more disparity to the situation, an unknown force has begun causing the once murky-brown waste-sludge into a bright, neon green viscous liquid. The once ever-quiet Grand Anchor from which the city departed from the land has been the recent site of mass protests, many of them violent. Shadelands (3-5) Crater of Fyrdgard, the Darkend Path, Ruins of Tyrgard (The Crushed Gates, Once Grand Marketplace, Tyrgard Citadel, Forlorn Alleys, King's Path), Forgotten Countryside, Expedition Camp* (Forgemaster's Guild Tent, Stonemason's Guild Tent, Arbormancer's Tent, Arcanium Tent, Infirmary Tent, Vanguard Tent, Command Tent, Makeshift Barracks, Enforcer's Tent, Reyad's Tent, Crash Site) Fyrdgard did not depart from nothing, but in fact nearly all it treasured. The vast countryside was ravaged in the Reckoning of Ash, and the cataclysm shook the very foundation of Tyrgard, nearly causing it's obliteration. With Tyrgard evacuated, almost no life save twisted beasts has appeared in the Shadelands, until the expedition. With the airship Kil'Oden's Pride departing from the Grand Anchor and the need for recruits growing to combat the dangers of the harsh and ravaged land, it appears only time will tell the fate of the land once loved and lost. Forsaken Forest- Jirford Keep (Library Wing, Armory Wing, Chapel Wing, Infirmary Wing, Stables, Gardens, Jirford Manor), Godyrif Hill (Godyrif Tower, Godyrif Path), Fedismar Crypts (Fedismar Catacombs, Labyrinth of the Damned, Warlord's Tomb), Fedismar Point (Fedismar East Tower, Fedismar West Tower, Fedismar Markets, Fedismar Commons, Fedismar Smith Quarter), Gyrdion Mountain (Tarnished Stairs, The Fallen Hammers, Gordrilk Hall, Molten Pools, Once-Gilded Hall, Grand Council Chambers, Rubbled Commons) The Warlords of the Forsaken Forests have long since fallen to ashes. The remnants of the Once-Great Kingdom of Gyrdion have remains a testament to all that once was great. Recently, a mysterious order known as the Ashen Council have claimed the area, and are thought to be the source of a dramatic shift in the skylights, turning a normal night and day cycle to a dim, everlasting twilight. Crystal Pools- The Risen Wall (The Foreboding Gate, Highcryst Watch), Crystal Fields (Northern Farmsteads, Southern Farmsteads, Croptrade Hill, Uthik's Manor, Jabin's Manor), Giderio Lake (Mokhan Rock, Crystal Pillar), Crystal City of Crunyth (Cathedral of the Blessed Gem, Crunyth Citadel, Runeforger Quarter, Botanical Quarter, Tradesman Quarter, Crystal Bridges, Dythiron Spires, Crunyth Archives), Bloodpool Grove (Bloodrock Sigil, Bloodrock Chamber, Altar of the Crystal Knife) Shortly after the Descent of Jathygaer, when the Clouds of Ash exploded from the gates of Rasilis unto the Mainland, it reached the Kingdom of Crunyth. It reached a noble King. King Asergion Saederis, who rests upon his Crystal Throne. The clouds of ash swept over Crunyth, leaving behind a tainted kingdom. To this day it's citizens wonder why the flames of Rasilis gave them such little penance. The crystals of the Tainted Kingdom stand to this day, but with a deep violet glow replacing the royal magentas that had surrounded them. Abyssal Glades- Taemin Village (Elder's Hall, Auditorium Hall, Taemin Camp, Bloodforge Rock, Bloodcircle Valley), Darkpine Towers (Darkpin Glade, Eastern Towers, Western Towers, Darkpine Rock), Misty Gate, Redrook Hold (Redrook Keep, Redrook Exchange, Redrook Harbor) The Jotinaii of Redrook have a mysterious origin. Their odd red pigment is believed to come from the ancestors of the Redrook Clan, who were known to drink the blood of the Nitshy they vanquished, in order to gain power. It is said by the clan that the Nitshy were foul demons. Regardless of the reliability of these claims, it can be said that most of them were devastated by the Descent of Jathygaer. Since this point, the remaining Redrook have split between the Bloodsworn and legal leader of the Redrook, Ka'Hitorn, and Commander Taemin. The dispute arose of the use of an ancient practice known as Ud'Kihv, which grants strength the soldiers in exchange for sanity. The practice was abandoned by Ka'Morik, father of Ka'Hitorn, but Taemin seeks to restore it. As such, he has been cast out from Redrook but has proceeded to take the legendary Bloodforge and construct a village out of his followers. Twilight Expanse- Isle of Pygmotros (Pygmotros Hold, Rockgear Workshops, Tallpine Valley, Barkclimb Village), Isle of Ibduc (Ibduc Tower, Sterile Ponds, Merryoak Heights, Riverfall Village), The Hidden Tidegate, Caederis Isles (Grazing Fields, Saint Kliver's Oasis, Ruins of Klashival, Weaver's Lake) It is said that the Great Clans of Pygmotros and Ibduc have similar origins, and are said to have begun by a dispute within a single clan, the Caederis. According to the records of the Pygmotros, it is said that Klashij led a contingent away from Commander Kliver to practice a warped voodoo. The Ibduc records state the that Commander Klashij had departed from Commander Kliver's forces when Kliver began a purge of the Elders.
