"Sometimes it's better toplay the game." She peered over when he spoke, watching him carefully. Nice enough to respond to her she guessed, then again, other than the professor it was her first real encounter with anyone on the school grounds. She looked away, sitting up on the bench with her legs crossed, dropping her bag down in front of her. She didn't have a response to him, and honestly though that was that, but he spoke again and she didn't want to be the weird girl who just wouldn't respond. She ran her fingers through her hair, removing the strands from her face. "Excited." She spoke with word with a smirk. It seemed like it could have been excitement. She wasn't nervous about the new place. New was easy. It was her backup escape plan that she would have to prepare for. If it came to that. She reached into the inner pocket of her uniform jacket, pulling out a a cherry lollipop she immediately unwrapped and popped into her mouth. She watched the professor disappear behind the large doors. She wondered if she'd actually have a professor. Genetics, that's what he said he taught. Not a normal study for her, but intriguing. She didn't need him to talk to, if anything she did just want to learn. That's how her mind seemed to work. Master one thing so she can master the next. Knowledge never ceased. "Naomi," she responded to his name, holding the sucker on the side of her cheek. She was slowly folding the wrapped. Origami was a hobby at one point, cranes and frogs. The cranes were her favorite. "How about you? Excited to be here?" She pulled the lollipop from her mouth, pointing it toward the crowd handing by the entrance. "That's exciting I guess. Never been around so many people." She chuckled to herself, popping her candy back in her mouth as she completed her wrapper crane. It was 'exciting,' she told herself over and over. She really wanted to try and stay in one place, even if it was school. Maybe it would give her life some sort of normality she could get used to. Moving from one place to the other. One family to the next. Nice home to the streets. 'This could be worse, most definitely,' she thought, moving her lollipop from one side of her mouth to the other. She held the tiny crane on her pinky, watching it intently before turning to her new aquaintance. "Russia's nice. Defintely nothing I've ever seen. Where are you from?" She asked curiously. Small talk? That was normal, right?
