Leagsaidh nodded her thanks and took her place next to the shorter girl. From here, she could see just about everyone as they entered or exited the cafeteria. Now all she had to do was keep an eye out. "My name's Leagsaidh. It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Ferris." Dana was an odd girl, Leagsaidh quickly discovered. Apparently she could tell she was a First Year not from her face, voice, or relatively undeveloped body when compared to older students, but rather from the way she walked. Then she made strange frantic gestures which might have been an imitation of someone walking, or could be an attempt at black magic. Either way, the message wasn't getting across. But when Dana put her lunch bag on her head, Leagsaidh couldn't hold back a light chuckle at how surreal this was. This girl was a lunatic! “See, First Years walk with a certain look in their eye. Kind of like a smoky expression… just like the one you're giving me now," Leagsaidh's face quickly rearranged itself into something a little less sultry. Hollow, in the back of her head, alarm bells were going off. This would end badly if she didn't do something about this right now. “Yeah, you definitely have the look friend. Say, that’s almost the same look you flashed me earlier. You weren't being serious back then, were you~?” "Ehehehe... sorry, little lady, but I'm not interested." she took a few involuntary steps back, but Dana didn't back off. Her face was contorted by lust and she showed no sign of slowing. She was leaning in... Desperate to get out of this, Leagsaidh looked around to see if she could make something up to get her out of this scenario. Her eyes rested on Touka - how long had she been standing there? - and she almost whooped with joy. But as she focussed on her, she saw something. An expression. A queer mix of sadness and longing, with a healthy dose of betrayal for good measure. Why did she look like that? What had she seen that was so disturbing? Was it her? She seemed to be looking right at her. Or was it Dana? Did she know something about the little nymph Leagsaidh didn't? Suddenly, Leagsaidh thought she had it. No wonder Touka looked so embarrassed when she thought Leagsaidh was flirting with her! No wonder she was so flushed and nervous! And no wonder she was sitting on her own! It all made so much sense now. Touka and Dana must have been a couple. And Touka thought Dana was cheating on her. And if she was going out with the school's resident pervert, the reputation she must have had would have alienated her beyond the point of no return. It never occurred to Leagsaidh how such a pairing would come when Touka was in her year and therefore must have arrived at the same time as her - it just made so much sense! But before she could yell Eureka, Touka ran off and Dana finally backed down, claiming not to be interested in girls. And when she said that, Leagsaidh felt a slight pang. If Dana wasn't homosexual, what did that mean for her Touka x Dana theory? Did Touka maybe have a crush on Dana and was upset at seeing her getting frisky with another girl? Or maybe they were going out and Dana was just playing her heart like a piano? Too many questions, not enough answers. "Do me a favour, Miss Dana..." the Redhead said, with surprising coldness "Warn me before you do something like that. You just scared one of the girls I was looking for away." And then came the second. Honestly, the timing couldn't have been better if scripted. Alice came out of nowhere, swiped the bag from Dana's head and mockingly thanked her for the second lunch. As she walked off, Leagsaidh sighed and shook her head. "For goodness sake. Wait here, I'll go get it back. I was looking for her anyway." Leagsaidh instructed, before raising an eyebrow and pointing the mysterious pair of hands that now appeared to be growing from Dana's breasts. "And, eh... you might want to deal with that." ------ Leagsaidh approached Alice, not quite sure what to say. She didn't want to appear patronising but at the same time she had to show some kind of support and remorse. But she looked so angry. As much as Leagsaidh wanted to avoid getting molested by Sharkbait, it was infinitely preferable to having seven shades of red beat out of her by an furious Alice. Eventually, she mustered up some courage and went to sit with the Brazilian. "Rough day?" she asked, smiling sadly."I... I wanted to apologise for earlier. If I had known..." Dang, why was it so difficult to talk? She wasn't used to this! How did one negotiate and comfort at the same time? "You're probably really mad at me right now. I just want you to know that... I'd like to make it up to you. You deserve better than what you've got, and I'm going to make sure you get it. I owe you that much, at least." "You probably want to bash my face into dust right now" Leagsaidh laughed humorlessly and was surprised to find she had tears in her eyes. "If you do, I won't object. And if you want me to leave, I'll just go. But I just want to let you know that I'm here if you need me. Okay?" [@TheWindel][@KoL][@Spriggs27]
