[@Argetlam350] Listening to Alekaiser talk, she was relieved to find they shared a few hobbies, and the ones they didn't weren't fundamentally opposed. The whole soulmate system really did seem to work out for the moment since, appearances aside, Alekaiser probably was the type of person she'd choose for herself, someone with a safe, normal job who she could hang out with at home when she wanted to. That aside, it seemed she hadn't even noted that the waitress had brought her the burger she'd ordered, odd considering very little tended to escape Aura's attention. When you served in a battle-zone, particularly the Middle East, you tended to get an eye for detail and an awareness of your situation. Sometimes, it made the difference between spotting a militant early or getting ambushed by people you'd taken for civilians mere minutes earlier. She'd just been too absorbed in the conversation for even her usually keen perception to notice that. She blushed a little from embarrassment upon becoming aware of the food, but then something about Alekaiser caught her eye. His eyes seemed to change color for a moment, such a short period of time that she'd have assume it was nothing more than a trick of her eyes if she'd blinked. The difference between his normal blue and the strange yellow that had consumed his eyes for that brief moment was pronounced, and hard not to notice when you were looking at his face to begin with. That said, what could that possibly indicate about him? She'd served with a few non-human Rangers, but she'd never gotten a good feel for the other species and what marked them. That said, if he wasn't going to mention it, neither was she. She'd come to realize that it was best to get people to tell you things of their own initiative, so she'd just have to wait for Alekaiser to want to tell her. Besides, they were soulmates, it wasn't like she had a limited amount of time to get him to open up to her, she had the rest of her life. That said though, if he was something other than human, she may have to accustom herself to the idea of him not only outliving her, but looking the same as he does now even when she was old and gray. She visibly shook these thoughts from her mind for now, however, reminding herself "You literally just met him, it's a little early to think about the rest of your life." That done, she nodded to him and smiled, commenting "Yeah, I prefer to move around anyway, something of a habit. How about we take a walk then, head around the city? I can show you the station I work at and maybe the park where I work out, and you can show me some of your favorite spots. Just a suggestion though, if you have a better idea don't hesitate to speak up." The last bit was hurriedly added, making sure he knew she was flexible as far as this went. Her men had always appreciated a bit of flexibility, and she appreciated it from the brass, so she always made sure to give it when she could.
