August paused to consider things for a moment in terms of payment methods. Raw gold was probably most thematically appropriate, but he hadn't taken the time to sieve the gold from the coins he'd had on his person since he'd arrived on world and he supposed coins made of gold would do just as well. So with that in mind he reached into a pocket of his duster and drew out a coinpurse, fishing around for a moment. As he did he drew out several golden rectangular coins and deposited them on the bar. "You'll take these right? I should probably convert to whatever the standard is for traveling situations but I honestly haven't had time and-"

At that moment, August spotted a particular carrot-nosed/drill nosed snowman like creature sitting somewhat drunkenly nearby. His eyes lit up almost literally as he eyed the snowman-dog-bug...thing? with pure amusement in every aspect of his expression. He supposed that if all sorts of worlds existed then its' world of origin must exist too, but if Plue was in Cowboy World, that certainly opened up some interesting possibilities for the future. Thinking quickly, August reached into another duster pocket and pulled out a couple of lollipops and offered them to the creature. "So snowman...dog...bug...thing...where'd your master get to?"

Regardless of the result of his attempt to make friends with Plue, August drained his sarsaparilla and looked around the bar for further potential adventure as well as Plue's current master. Two girls that seemed to be in the middle of introducing themselves seemed like a good place to start, if nothing else because one of them was dressed sort of like they hadn't been in the desert for long and the other had a [i]very[/i] nice coat.

"Do either of you know anyone who might've lost a drill-nosed dog-snowman-thing? Also where can I get a coat like that? Mine's nice but I'm not sure how well it'll do in other places..."
