Name: » Alex Fitzgerald Nickname(s): » n/a Age: » 29 years old Gender: » Female Species: » Human Nationality: » American Sexuality: » Bisexual Height: » 176cm / 5'7'' Weight: » 69kg / 152lbs Likes: » Her likes and passions are easily named. During her free time she enjoys reading scientific articles and publications about the newest revelations and thereon in the xenobiologic field. In fact, reading is one of her most pursued hobbies, though the genre of the books she likes usually limits to crime series. Every now and then she also attempts herself at writing her own stories, but so far she hasn't published anything, yet. While her job takes up most of her time anyway, other activities usually tend to be neglected. Dislikes: » One thing that invokes absolute hate in Alex is drama and emotional outbreaks. While she does understand that emotions are a vital part of the human nature, and that even she falls victim to them every now and then, overly theatrical people seem to summon her disgust quite easily. Furthermore, while she is quite capable of processing critical comments, she doesn't like people attempting to berate her in a field she is well versed in. Qualities: » Being the lead scientist in a somewhat secretive research group, Alex greatest strength is her capability of summarising facts and attempting to find a solution. She possesses a great attentiveness for details and tends to pick up on things others usually don't. Contrary to her rather poor social skills, she flourishes when being challenged in a field she enjoys, and will dive further and further to accomplish the victory of solving yet another puzzle. Weaknesses: » While Alex is quite obviously extraordinary at succeeding in material and theoretical matters, social instances seem entirely lost to her. She does understand emotions, she can read them, and she knows they cannot be turned off. However, seeing someone cry or hurt is met with a lack of empathy all-together. Oftentimes, she pushes her colleagues to their limits just by demanding more and more work, rather than realising that breaks are important. She is, so to speak, a very exhausting partner for both, work and romance related affairs. Personality: » Alex is a very analytical personality. She prefers facts and statistics over emotions and unreasonable behaviour. She values honesty and absolutely despises overly dramatic approaches. In her eyes, everything can be seen as a pattern or at least a structure that can be identified and solved. She usually doesn't take offense in people's criticism, tries to improve what can be improved, though will lash out if someone becomes a 'dead weight' or annoys her more than enough. She does take pride in her work, though. Abilities: » Analytical Gift (can analyse patterns and vice versa quickly to try and find solutions) » Hand-to-hand combat » Basic weaponry knowledge » Knowledge about working in a lab (including tools, methods, and background) -> Specialisation: Xenobiology / Supernatural Past / Biography: » After the incident 1989 in Hawkins, Indiana, USA, the Government founded not only a tactical response team for possible future attacks from supernatural dimensions, but also a scientific research group that was given the permission and funds to inspect the samples that had been and formulate suitable counter measures. After showing impressive skills and ambitions towards a scientific research career, Alex Fitzgerald received a scholarship for Harvard. Graduating as the best of her class, she soon received job offers from all sides. The most interesting one was of a small research group that was devoted to researching xenobiologic samples. Soon enough, she got the job, and from then on started working on the 'Hawkins Incident' as a leading scientist. Fandom: » Stranger Things (applicable for other fandoms too) Items / Weapons: » Key-chain LED flashlight » Pocketknife » Notebook with various notes in it (mostly of scientific nature, also referred to as "lab journal")
Faceclaim: Jodelle Ferland
