Liang felt quite relieved and glad that the possibly volatile situation had been defused. She politely took a few steps back to give the Avatars soem breathing room. Her hand was shaking slightly as she wondered how Shin and Gen were doing. After a while Shin limped back to the area. His left cheek had a little burn on it - nothing too serious, but no doubt painful - and his right temple had a nasty gash on it. He seemed quite shaken and unnerved. "I... I think the firebender got away... G-gen went after him with a squad of metalbenders..." He shook his head absentmindedly and just stared to the distance. Liang blinked her eyes in confusion and approached the waterbender. "W-what happened? Where's Gen?" Her eyes widened with fear as Shin shook his head "I... I don't know... I don't know if he made it out before the building we were in collapsed." The former firebender sat down on the ground and seemingly calmly held her head. "W-what do you mean 'you don't know if he got out'? Y-you were there... Wh-what do you mean?" Her voice was trembling, but still the black haire woman was keeping her composure admirably well. "I don't know because the last thing I saw before Gen literally threw me out of a window was the firebender gloating." Shin admitted as he lowered his gaze to the ground. "I think... I... think Gen might be -" The handsome waterbender was cut off by a nasty glare from Liang. "Don't you dare to say that Shin Yu... Don't you dare to finish that sentence." The black haired woman was now back on her feet, few tears rolled down her cheeks and it sounded like she was close to reaching her breaking point.
