By the by, in an electrical outage do telecommunications still work? I've never met a townwide short circuit before but I do know satellite dishes are hooked on to land lines to function. It's a thing to consider in an upcoming post.

Landlines and telephone boxes would certainly go bye-bye, but mobile phones should still work...up until the point they run out of battery.  So if you have an I phone you're fucked.
