The mediator of disagreement (black) awoke still figuring out how to resolve the drama. They hoped that the tensions had decreased enough where it could be negotiated. When the Platta groups met up, the mediator of disagreement explained what they had come up with for a possible solution. The idea was the Platta favoring hierarchical organization perhaps could form their own independent settlement to explore the idea they had in practice rather than enforce all Platta to follow that way. This would begin at the next discussion. At each discussion time, they could meet up with other Platta to discuss what they had found. They would not need to join the discussions further keeping to their own workings. This way, all Platta would still be working together and learn what was found, but no pressure to do ongoing discussions would be had. The Platta saw this as fair, although most found the separation distressing. The group favoring hierarchical organization thought about ways to incorporate something like mediators of disagreement and how to arrange for it. [@Valkyr] In the northern exploration, the Platta observed closely. There was some more communication between the members, and it wasn't clear what it was about. The Platta, thinking the creatures appeared both protective but also apparently understanding the friendly intent, at least to some extent, figured it related to figuring out how to continue. The recognized word was taken as a way of explaining the continuation of the communication. The gesture seemed to gesture towards the distance. Soon, some of the creatures also traveled in that way. The Platta thought about what it might mean. Thinking back to communication with Faw, it appeared to be a reference of where they came from. Although, this was the first contact with a group, so it was hard to say. The Platta figured then they should also try to come up with something to go by. First, they gestured in the general direction where they had made camp, and said, "Platta Camp." to show where they had been. After a pause to let that be understood, they gestured to the sun, which the Platta figured was something both could recognize, and said, "Nova", the name they gave to the sun. [@Elitestpotato][@Nerevarine] In the southern exploration, the Platta note the symbolism they can gather from the cloth. It appears to represent that the species and conflict strongly relate based upon the frequency of the lighter red coloring. It seems to also hint that there is something that made them this way in the past regarding an unknown incident. The smaller amounts of darker blue as well as the pattern of it also hint that this race values complexity. It also interests the Platta the sheer complexity and patterns of the work, which is not seen by Platta in many things. It is not clear what this represents right now, but some Platta think it represents organized hunts of large proportions, or perhaps combined with the copper weapons, it is meant to show how they think complexity leads to power. As the book is brought out, the Platta observe the actions and color. The dark blue ink hints at the attempt to address something. As the marks are made, Kifam, the writer (dark blue) watches, and using a blank cloth, as closely as possible, draws what they draw to get an understanding of what is being said. They also use dark blue dye. Other colors would be seen as available, but that specifically was chosen to match. Wriz, the caretaker (dark green) observes for now, to understand more clearly what the written is meant to communicate.
