Los Angeles, California - Blaire's apartment Blaire Anderson definitely wasn't the nicest person in the world, in-fact many would say she wasn't kind at all. Then again the world hadn't done her many favors besides providing her with some parents who did throw some money her way for her education. Rap music was blasting in the back ground as she was eating some lays chips and smoking a blunt. She reached over for her prescription bottle and frowned as she peered inside seeing only one xanax bar left inside. "Fuuuuck I've been waaay too faded this week, I only gotta bar left fuuuuck I gotta get some more." Blaire pouted seeing her drug supply out as she took a few more hits of the blunt now a roach and put it out on her dresser. She got up from her couch yawning and going over to her phone picking it up to check what percentage it was on. Ooooooooh almost 100% fuck yeah! Happy about her phone percentage she went back over to where she was sitting and turned towards her laptop. She tapped the keypad lightly, and the screen lit up. She was re-watching one of her favorite video's on youtube, one of Claire Bennet jumping off the ferris wheel then regenerating. Ever since the mysterious message she'd received she'd been looking more and more into people with powers. She had a power, Claire had a power, there were others like there out there. She was fascinated by the infinite number of people and powers that might be out there. She refreshed the screen and re-watched the immortal cheer leader leaping off even more amused now that she was high. "That shit must be fucking bad ass, being able to heal from anything, but it's still not as fun as being able to fuck everything and everyone up." The blazed sociopath noted as she turned her attention away from her laptop and reached over to a folder she'd received two days ago. She remembered getting an e-mail about getting a delivery in her campus mail box, and was astonished at what she was given. None of it really made any sense. It was files about some secret Government operation done by the Department of Homeland Security over a year almost two ago, which meant it occurred before Claire jumped off the ferris wheel. What was more interesting was their was information about another operation that took place back in 1961 in Coyote Sands, she'd googled information about both on an incognito tab but nothing had popped up. However the information seemed legit, it was information about certain people involved powered and non powered. What convinced her was that one of these people that appeared in the files was her idol Claire Bennet, and she'd called about three of the people in the Building 26 files to ask them about their experience's. She was met with similar response's on each attempt to contact them, fear, paranoia, and denial of knowing what she was talking about followed by hanging up quickly. A subsequent attempt to call said number later resulted in her finding out that said phone had been disconnected. All of this information was interesting and for someone with her status somewhat scary. Being high didn't help the situation either, but it also meant she was really drawn into the information. She already thought people with powers should be in charge, and this information only supported her choice. It seemed even before Claire had exposed it to the public, some in the Government seemed to know. But perhaps the most interesting thing about the files was inside she'd found a short note. Dear Blaire, You're Right about them. Sincerely, A Man who's really sorry he disagreed with you. There was no return address so she had no idea who sent her the package, but the note was just mind blowing. When she'd went to pick up the package she'd hadn't cared as she was off xanax. But as she sobered up and re-read the letter yesterday morning she began trying to figure out who wrote the letter. She'd never met any other evolved humans not that she'd known of and while she figured evolved humans were superior as soon as she figured out what she was there wasn't anyone she'd ever had that discussion with. Regardless of whatever was happening it was good to know there was someone else in the world who thought she was the best. After a little more reading she decided to put the files away. She wished she could find out more about what happened, but calling people wasn't good because they probably figured it was agents coming from them. And talking to the people who did the hunting well that might yield some interesting results, and give her a chance to hurt someone. Hmm I haven't even fucked anybody up since I started smoking hmm, might as well kill some people before I go to the doctor's then I can murder people barred out! She turned towards the carpet to the left of her couch and there appeared to be a miniature city on top of it. She grinned as she looked through the miniature city before she found what she was looking for. Her old high school, she had plenty of "fun" times their she only wished she had manifested this power before graduation. Still she looked at her watch school was still in session, and plenty of the old staff and plenty of people she went to school with where still there right now. She raised her foot above the city and stomped down on the high school smashing it. She then turned her attention away from the city and got up from the couch while stretching and laughing. "That was fun." .................... Brooklyn, New York - Mary's Diner "No Problem." Jason had said in response to the waiter's first comment about getting his name wrong. He hadn't expected him too, and for now it was time to play the waiting game with his food. He was a little impatient when it came to waiting on food more so when he was hungry, but the fulfillment from making 30k off one A$AP Rocky had him feeling calm. All he needed was his soda and a couple rolls to hold him until his final meal was ready. Hopefully New York time is faster then black time I swear we be taking forever. Jason chuckled to himself and decided to just peer into the minds of some of the people in the diner. If anything it would help pass the time, the best part about honing this power was being able to listen into the thoughts of people usually he'd hear things ranging from mundane to disturbing. However what he picked up from the waiter caused him to an eyebrow. Why am I worrying about this guy? He doesn't know about the power I have. Jason heard this and listened to the rest briefly peering into his head to see a visual representation of his thoughts and saw him turning invisible before quickly leaving his head. Invisibility huh, I thought this dude was sum different, but I wasn't expecting that. Holy shit ole dude is like me, fuck is he working here with what he can do. Jason knew their were others out there, he'd ran into a few evolved humans in New York. Invisibility was a cool power, and he could only think about the potential it had. Someone like that didn't just need to limit themselve's to bussing tables to make a living, with the business he was involved in he could see plenty of more lucrative opportunities for someone with a skill set such as his. The only question was what type of person was Adrien and would he be up for a chance to move up in the world if Jason could provide him with one. I picked the right place to grab a burger, let's see if I can get this guy that there's more money outside this diner even if their food is fucking boss. Manhattan New York - Max’s Apartment Max was just settling into his apartment after checking his phone and reading his texts. Blake had taken care of the situation and cleaned up with Amelia. He was glad everything was settled, and went over to his fridge to grab a bottle of water. In-fact the only thing in his fridge was water, he was a man who was health conscious and not only that required himself to be at his very best with the lifestyle he lived. He went for the remote, and turned it on. AMC was the first thing that came on, however that wasn’t what he wanted to watch. He quickly flipped through some channels and stopped at the news. “Congress has a special announcement about a new bill about to be passed that is related to country’s Evolved human situation, but more on that after this. Within the past thirty minutes an entire high school in Los Angeles was wiped out and everyone inside killed.” “What the fuck.” Max said in shock…as the remote fell from his hand. An entire high school wiped off the map, he watched the TV as it shifted to a high school completely destroyed. It wasn’t an explosion it appeared some force had smashed it into the ground and the switched to an aerial view showing what appeared to be a giant foot print around the school that extended to part of the parking lot as well. “Fuck!!!!!” This has to be a power but what the fuck was it. This is ruthless… Max was watching in disbelief as he looked at the scene on the TV, emergency personnel in the form of police, firemen, and paramedics were all over the scene. He couldn’t even count the number of police cruisers, fire trucks, and ambulance’s on the screen right now. They switched over to some student who was crying and apparently had went to her car to grab a change of clothes for gym when she witnessed what happened. “One minute I was going through my trunk looking for my shorts, and then I hear this loud BAM and then I see the entire school gone. It all happened in an instant, everyone’s gone, even part of the parking lot was wiped out this is crazy it’s…oh my god.” She was crying tears rolling down her face as she described the horrific event that took place. Max didn’t want to watch any more, and changed the channel a couple times until he arrived at a news channel that was just getting done talking about the high school situation and switching back to the Government’s announcement. He just shook his head and took a few more sips of his water thinking back to what he said earlier at the US &Them Foundation. Danko what the hell were you getting yourself into trying to go against these people in the shadows, with what the can do you need the whole world backing you to stop them. Max’s mood was ruined for the day, just thinking about all the people killed. But the announcement he read on the bottom of his television screen caused him to raise an eyebrow. Test that can determine if someone is a regular or evolved human completed, to be administered to all U.S Citizens. “Today in Washington D.C, it’s been revealed that the Government has determined a way to figure out if someone has an ability or not. Accordingly they’ve passed a bill named the Bennet Act, obviously in reference to Claire Bennet herself who made her people public. This bill states there will be a mandatory testing to determine if someone has an ability or not, and it will be implemented into various establishments including work places, schools, and various government buildings. The Government says they are already beginning process of shipping out these tests across the country, and will start training various people on how to administer the tests and determine the results. Several in Congress have said this is a step in the right direction, and the President of the United States will speak on the matter later tonight. Many have concerns that..” Max couldn’t believe it, he didn’t know whether it was a coincidence or a stroke of luck that on the day of such a tragedy something good had come out of it. All that money he’d poured into this project wasn’t meaningless, and the plan was coming to fruition much sooner then he’d expected. He went and picked up his remote placing it back down to the side of him as watched the television was intensity. After this announcement he knew it wouldn’t be long before his phone was ringing, and that people had work for him and Olympus Inc. He figured there had to be plenty who’d find this new Bennet Act problematic, and he’d be happy to give them test of his Smith and Wesson.
