My GEARs RP has been running in its' current incarnation for somewhat over a year on this incarnation of the forums, and has had several reboots and incarnations before that; primarily due to players dropping out and the pace slowing down to a virtual crawl. 

The game is currently lacking in players and pace, due to - presumably - RL concerns for those still involved, and the number of active participants has more than halved since it started. As such, I'm looking to replace the gaps with a few more mecha pilots who are reliable posters. 

The game is casual, but there is a lot of background material and depth, on par in my opinion, with some of the more advanced games on the forum. As the mecha go, it is inspired by and themed after the more anime side of things, and skewed toward the Real Robot genre rather than the super robot one (i.e., more Universal Century Gundam than Gurren Lagann). And even then, the tech level in the setting as a whole is much lower than Gundams' own.

Yes, the characters are furries. No, they do not act 'cute', or use any other stupid furry slang or do goofy, funny things. It is a sci-fi setting, with the fact the characters are anthropomorphic creatures being an integral part of the background and the ongoing plot. 

Despite the game having run for as long as it has, delays in posting and the slow response times have meant that the game is seriously bogged down, and there hasn't been as much progress in the plot as I would like, so if you do wish to join, you won't have missed too much. My intention is to get things moving much quicker from hereon in.
