Glancing down at the tools as well, he debated what to say to the masked hero. He could be truthful and tell him it was one of the devices that would set off the bomb, which would of course make him destroy it. Or he could lie and say that it was nothing but a...um...he furrowed his brow as he tried to think of something. Something that would be in the lair, but not dangerous... "It's a...well..." He rubbed his hands together nervously, frantically thinking of something, anything to say, and finally blurted out, "It's a communication thing?" He sounded unsure, and he mentally cursed at himself. He was so stupid! Of course the guy wouldn't believe him and he'd probably be killed for being so silly. Everyone always told him that he should've been a better liar, seeing as what he was doing now. Being gullible and a bad liar wasn't exactly the best thing to be when faced in a life or death situation after all.
