[b]Personality: [/b]Malachi comes across as aloof and abrasive towards most people. He doesn't talk much and when he does it is usually to hurl insults. That being said, once you get past his gruffness he isn't completely awful to be around, as long as you don't mind him not actually answering when you talk to him. 

[b]Backstory: [/b]Malachi was the first and only child of Orion and Maya Beauregard. Theirs was a noble family, and as such many things were expected of the young lord. He was dressed in the finest clothes and taught by the best scholars. When he turned sixteen he became a squire for a prominent knight in Semara, who taught him the basics in swordplay and archery.

Malachi became a knight himself the year he turned twenty five, which is also the year he fell in love. Arsenia Belladonna was a beautiful, fiery haired creature, but she was low born, and his parents would not hear of it. They forbid the lovers from marrying, saying that they would disown their son if he did so. Malachi was willing to give it all up for her, but Arsenia was against it.

They were together in secret for the next four years, until Arsenia vanished.

Malachi searched for her for years, but was never able to find her. He blamed his parents for her disappearance and left the capital permanently when he turned thirty three. He became a mercenary and has spent the rest of his years working for hire and keeping to himself. When he saw the posting for the ranger brigade he applied, seeing as how he could really use the money and free room and board.

[b]Fun Fact: [/b] He still asks around at every new tavern to see if anyone knows Arsenia.

[b]Weapons: [/b]
Long sword - This sword has been in the Beauregard family for generations and was given to Malachi by his father when he was knighted. The blade is made of ebony.

Standard long bow - His bow has to be replaced often because while he is a good shot, he's not above using it as a club if an enemy sneaks up on him.

Daggers - He has them everywhere. His boots, his belt, up his sleeves. It's been rumored he even has one in his beard.

[b]Skills:[/b]
Swordsmanship - This is Malachi's strongest combat skill by far. He is the most deadly when he has a sword in his hand.

Archery - Decent skills with a bow, when he has the patients for them.

Medic - While not formally trained, Malachi has patched up enough battle wounds to know his way around a med kit.[/hider]
