Back on The Amaranthea when she wasn't being the captain, Irisara was rather casual with her crew. Everyone gave each other nicknames, and despite it bringing a sense of brotherhood it made the crew vulnerable when a crewman was lost. That's why Irisara would never show emotion after a battle report. She had to remain strong for the crew or else they'd get weak and being weak was not a luxury one could afford as a pirate.
