[color=7bcdc8][b]Personality:[/b] [/color]Calliope has an adventurous spirit, thrives on action, and loves anything that gets her adrenaline up. This of course makes her a bit of a risk taker, which often gets her into sticky situations. It also means that she can get bored easily if she feels like she isn't doing something productive.

When it comes to the people she cares about, Calliope is loyal to a fault. Most of her friends work at the local brothel, as her sarcasm and affiliation with prostitutes makes her some what of an outcast. Calliope doesn't mind this at all and will stand up to anyone who talks badly about her friends' chosen profession.

Calliope [b]loves[/b] to spar. She doesn't feel like swinging swords at a practice dummy improves her skill at all, so anytime someone offers to train with her, she jumps on it.

Calliope's time living in the cathouse has erased any concept of personal space, and she sometimes makes people feel uneasy by standing far too close to them. On the flip side, some people enjoy the close proximity, since she is a fairly pretty girl.

She is slightly self conscious about her freckles, but she'll punch you in the face if you make fun of them. 

[color=7bcdc8][b]Backstory:[/b][/color] Calliope was born one bright, sunny day in summer and was then promptly discarded into the nearest alley way. Fortunately for her, said alley was adjacent to a Clysdesdale brothel called, 'Classie Lassies' and it did not take long for Headmistress Cherry Cross to hear the tiny babe's caterwauling and for her to have mercy on the little one. 

This is how young Calliope found herself spending her formative years calling a whorehouse in Minora home. She thought of most of the prostitutes as aunts and they treated her kindly, teaching her to read and write between their clients. Headmistress Cherry also took a shine to Calliope and tutored her in maths as well as showing her how to barter and get the best deals from the local merchants. In return the young girl did chores around the place, washing bed linens, mending garments, and cooking for the girls during their breaks. 

The brothel girls were not the only people Calliope won over. Most of the patrons thought of the girl as a mascot of sorts. They were all very kind to her and brought her gifts when they could. The town blacksmith was one of these clients, but instead of sweets and dolls, he brought the young girl weapons. On her fourteenth birthday, he gave her a recurve bow, hand carved and made of cedar.

As she cradled it in her hands, Calliope knew she had found her calling.

After that, Calliope spent all of her spare time practicing at the shooting range and hunting in the nearby forrest. Headmistress Cherry was quite pleased with her ward's new hobby, as the teen brought home her kills to share with the prostitutes, meaning that their food bill decreased dramatically.

Calliope is nineteen when she sees the job posting for the Red Falcon brigade. After saying goodbye to her Headmistress and the other girls, she joined the brigade and moved in to the ranger barracks.

[color=7bcdc8][b]Fun Fact: [/b][/color]Most people think Calliope worked as a whore at 'Classie Lassies'. She never corrects them because she does not find it insulting, seeing as how all of her close friends are sex workers.

Cutlass - Another gift from the blacksmith. She's moderately skilled with it, but prefers the bow.

Cedar recurve bow - Her first gift from the blacksmith and her favorite by far.

Archery - After five years of using her bow almost everyday, Calliope is one of the best marksmen in Clysdesdale.

Bartering - Calliope isn't exceedingly charming, nor was she blessed with a silver tongue, but she has a good knowledge of common item worth and refuses to be swindled.

Survival Skills - Calliope has learned basics survival skills, such as fire starting, shelter finding/building, how to construct a basic snare, etc.

Animal Butchery - Calliope has skinned all sorts of animals, from rabbits and foxes to wolves and deer.[/hider]
