Once the enemy charged into the room, all hell broke loose in a hail of biotics and weapon fire that came from both directions of the hallway. Staying mostly in soft cover at this point, Solares leaned to his right while taking aim and unloaded eight shots into the other end of the hallway, hoping that nothing was still alive. Pulling himself back into softcover, he leaned against the underside of the table and quickly started to switch thermal clips. “Donny if you require any thermal clips, let me know and I can share some with you s…” Solares’s train of thought was cut short when he saw the human grab onto an explosive, eyeing it while deep in thoughts of his own. “Hey Donny, I know what you are thinking and it’s best if you avoided using a Cain Mine or any high-powered explosive of the sort inside of a pressurized area.” He didn’t want to sound like he was lecturing the human but there was a heavy concern for his own safety, the rest of his squad’s safety, and the civilian’s safety as well. It was too late though, for Donny threw the mine up and over a group of hostiles where it landed behind them. “Oh shit…” Solares quickly pulled himself into a protective ball just seconds before the mine detonated. The shockwave from the blast was so strong that it pushed him back at least five feet across the metal floor with a blanket of debris. Opening his eyes slowly, Solares pushed himself up and off of the ground, while whole body in pain. “That was one of the better explosions I have lived through.” said Solares to himself. He had taken a couple of pieces of scrap metal to his armor, but thankfully none of them had penetrated far enough to wound him. The force of the explosion though had wounded him, bruising bones and causing some internal damage that could be healed over time or in a health bay. “Is everyone alright?” he asked through his com before noticing he couldn’t hear anything but a ringing in his ears, it wouldn’t matter for now if anyone replied to him. “Just the shockwave, should pass relatively soon.” he thought to himself before pulling out a knife and attempting to break free some of the metal scraps from his armor. From where the metal had ended up, he was very lucky that none of it had passed through, or he would have been in extremely bad shape. One scrap missed where his heart is and another missed the bridge between the left and right lung. Once checking himself over, he quickly made his way to Raa and Voira, stopping dead in his tracks when he saw both of them covered in blood. “Holy actual shit Voira, how are you still walking? and Raa are you alright?” he asked in a concerned tone.
