I'm not an exception here. Unless I'm mistaken, not a single other person was given a specific approval.

Meaning that their acceptances are exactly as relevant as my own. If we start arguing the invalidity of my acceptance, we refute all of the others.

What this really seems to come down to sounds like this: just because you don't have the time/equipment to manage an RP in depth, it doesn't mean you should try to anyway. Making broad, sweeping announcements and judgements based on limited information results in situations like this.
