Upon reaching Geosenge Town, Ryan felt somewhat disappointed. "Not as cool as I was expecting." He muttered as they walked into the town. "Does anyone have anything to do here? If not we should probably just head straight towards Shalour City." Ryan asked the group.

"I have nothing in this town I need to do." Liam replied.

Shiranui had caught two Pokémon while on Route 10: a Hawlucha named Torikumu and a Golett named Seiryoku.

"I feel a powerful yet dormant presence here," Shiranui stated.

"We probably should investigate it then." Liam replied.

"I feel it too." Ryan responded as he looked at Oberon.

"I also feel it." Oberon said as he concentrated on the presence. "I cannot find it though."

"It's cool. We'll find it eventually." Ryan said with a grin.

"Whatever it is must be concealed in some way as I can't see it with my own eyes," Shiranui added.

Liam called his Ralts out. "I say we split up to cover more ground. Lets Rendezvous back at the Pokemon Center."

"Good idea," replied Shiranui before calling Higitsune out, "It'll be a good opportunity for Higitsune here to develop his psychic powers."

Ryan nodded in agreement and walked off in a random direction. Oberon began scanning for the presence while Ryan also attempted to scan for he presence with his underdeveloped Psychic Powers. He couldn't find anything but he definitely felt like he had gotten stronger mentally.

Liam and Ralts' search bore no fruit. After searching his 1/3 of the small town, he returned to the Pokemon Center and helped his Ralts practice more with the cards again.

Shiranui's searches led him to a monolith that appeared to have an entrance that was blocked off. Higitsune linked his mind with his trainer's and Shiranui saw what the Braixen was seeing. It was like he was looking through Higitsune's eyes in infrared with what Shiranui thought were hot spots representing other people's minds with a faint spot representing a mind that had been dormant for a long time.

The mind link was severed and Shiranui had to calm himself down. "I don't know if all psychic mind scans look like this, but that was almost overwhelming," he commented, feeling Higitsune tug on his sleeve. The Braixen pointed back at the Pokémon Centre and Shiranui nodded in understanding before the duo made their way back. "That wasn't the first time a psychic Pokémon linked their mind with mine, but it was the first time I looked through their eyes while they did a scan," Shiranui remarked, "That was great for your first mind scan, by the way." Higitsune blushed in reply.

The duo returned to the Pokémon Centre and Shiranui saw Liam with the Zener cards out and Ryan with Oberon. "I have returned bearing important news," he announced to his friends.

Ryan looked up from his Pokedex and nodded in acknowledgement. "And?" He asked with a somewhat curious gaze.

"Both Higitsune and I found a monolith with what looked like a blocked-off entrance and several people underground further on," Shiranui elaborated.

"Sounds interesting." Liam noted. "But they might be hard to get to."

"Most likely some sort of gang. We might as well try to get in. Not too much to lose." Ryan said after a moment of thought. Oberon and Fuma nodded in agreement.

"Well, we will likely meet a lot of resistance if your theory is right."

"Do you think Team Flare is in there?" Shiranui asked.

"It's possible I guess." Liam commented. "I am curious as to what exactly they are up to. Whatever it is, it can't be good."

"I doubt it's Team Flare. Why would they set up shop here of all places?" Ryan asked with a doubtful tone. He then put some thought into the possibility. "But if they were here it would mean bad news for the town."

"There's probably something here that would pique their interest," Shiranui speculated.
