[hider=History of Humanity up to know.] In the year 2577 humans had colonized 194 planets, however those living in the Sol system began to feel the need to organize these independent planets into a galaxy spanning government. This group would become [u]United Planetary Defense Collation[/u] and began to mass produce warships conquering independent colony's and forcing them to join. This would spark retaliation from the remaining colonies, they formed the [u]Independent Federation of Systems[/u] this new force would respond with brutal power fighting for ever inch of every planet. In the name of remaining independent. However the IFS knew it would need a new weapon if they wished to push back the UP-DC forces. A group of renown IFS scientists met and began to designing a new kind of weapon, mechs. The first mechs ever produced was the Knight from it's standard form it was quickly upgraded by pilots needs. Their first deployment was met with massive success and lead to Knights replacing most fighter and tanks. This would change the tide of the war, the UP-DC was now on the defensive. When the war changed so did the IFS, no longer were they just about keeping themselves Independent they started to attack other planets. The UP-DC pushed back with it's massive fleet of starships, battles ending in stalemates with civilians taking the brunt damage. So in secret the scientists who had created the mech designs met and agreed on a course of action. They traded the designs for the Knight in exchange for 500 year treaty with the IFS. While many people see this action as a humanitarian one the IFS leader did not and claimed that everyone who was a member of the project was a traitor. By the time IFS forces had tracked down the project members they had boarded an old colony ship and were now headed for deep space. They arrived on a lush world with a warm climate and breathable atmosphere, with no need to terraform, the people set to work creating their new home. They named the planet Tranquility after what they had done in the name of peace. However, all that was 200 years ago. In the time since then both the IFS and UP-DC have stepped up production of ships and mechs having phase out most other vehicles in exchange for them. Custom models and mass produced mechs now are part of everyday life, however no new wars have broken out since the treaty. New systems have joined both sides and yet neither wishes for the peace to end. However that changed at the battle of Tranquility. Tranquility thrived, having it's own mech academy and thousands of highly advanced mechs and pilots to defend it. However the UP-DC discovered it, believing it to a unaffiliated planet they order it to stand down and prepare for their landing parties. The people Tranquility responded by announcing they would defend themselves, the UP-DC ships launched their mechs and attacked. They were swiftly defeated, however as more UP-DC forces arrived the IFS decided to investigate. What followed was a battle with Tranquility joining the IFS in it's fight and breaking of the treaty. With tensions rising and Tranquility having joined IFS the mech academy have opened their doors to new students. Now with students from all across the stars have been arriving on Tranquility to train as pilots. You are one these pilots. I am going to list the mass produced models of Mech below everyone can get an idea of the system in place for mechs and their creation. [b][u]Mass produced Mech models[/u][/b] [hider=Knight] The basic model of mech mass produced by both sides used by civilians and is commonly seen used by untrained pilots as there are the simplest mech to pilot and offer a large range of customization. However Knights are not as well armored as other classes of mech and cannot keep pace with others, the upshot is that it can use a full range of weapons and can be customized to your needs. All Paladins are roughly the same however they all have a full synchronization allowing the pilot to sync with the AI in the Mech and move as if they are one. This does mean however that the Paladin has no customization options and comes with energy shielding. It can use all varieties of weapons. This mech is only available to pilots from Tranquility. The Raider relies on speed not on endurance to get it through a fight, having two customization slots and access to light weaponry make's it perfect for hunting and killing enemy mechs. Raiders were the first mech to use melee weapons like energy blades. However due to the extreme speeds they can cannot take direct fire. (Three weapon slots) Two customization slot. Energy shielding (Light) No On-board AI, no full sync [/hider] [hider=Marauder] A heavy class of mech used for defending positions and assaulting base's these large war-machines can wield heavy weapons like nothing else and and carry even the largest Artillery pieces. However they are not very fast but make up for that with heavy shielding and thick armor. When used in space the ride boards and use the magnetic locks on their boots to clamp on to things as they are too heavy for flight. (Four weapon slots) Energy shielding Strong One customization slot No On-board AI [/hider] [hider=Ironside] Built like a Knight, Ironsides have one major change, heavy armor and shielding, this updated Knight model often takes to the front and can survive many firefights it's weaker brother could not. However it has a lower speed but that is made up for with it being melee capable. Meaning that this Mech is versatile. While not the pretty it is effective and is renowned for it's tricky handling. This is about a group of students being trained to fight for IFS, some students will be from Tranquility however if you wish to be from another planet just give me a basic description of the planet and it's history. Now we will have mechanics and pilots so your welcome to make either. All Mechs are customizable and I am willing to accept new mechs into the list. These are just the mass produced models I came up with. Also AI’s are attached to the mech so if you have one it assists you in many ways. All makes can be given their own paint job and backstory of how you got them if you like, not a requirement. I am however using mech layouts to keep them all on a even playing field. However weapons can be whatever you like or want to use, from laser to bullet everything has a purpose. [hider=Customization's] Cloaking system: Renders the mech invisible for as long as needed. (Takes two slots) Wrist mounted mini-guns: Wrist mounted weapons for personal defense. (Takes one slot) Stealth systems: A temporary heat displacement system to hide a from sensors mech lasts only for 30 thirty minutes before needing a recharge. (Takes one slot) Grenade launcher: An eight shot grenade launcher mounted on the back of a mech. (Takes one slot) Booster system: Used for quick movement (Takes one slot) Flight system: Gives a mech full sustained flight for three hours before needing a refuel (Takes two slots) Shield upgrade: Boosts shield to next class. (Takes one slot) Electronic warfare suite: Can be used to jam enemy comms and track enemy movements.
