Name: Durin Redfire Race: Dwarf Sex: Male Age: 90 Class/Job: Mercenary Description: Durin has jet-black hair, and a medium-length beard that barely reaches his collarbone. He stands at 3 feet tall, a bit short for even a dwarf. His eyes are always scanning his surroundings, and seem to have a hardened and fierce glare. He has a visible scar that runs from the inside tip of his left eye to the middle of his right cheek. He is clothed in black leather armor, and has some light chainmail poking out underneath. He wears black traveling boots, designed for both travel and stealth. Biography: Durin comes from the prestigous Redfire family, known for both their fierce warriors and fine smiths. Durin grew up in relative comfort by Dwarf terms, hardly having a need for anything. At the age of 15, he was offered the choice of studying to be a warrior or a smith. Durin chose the way of the blade, studying under the finest masters that the Dwarves had. At the age of 22, he "graduated", and was given his two signature blades by his eldest brother, who was an accomplished weaponsmith at the time. At 30, he left his home after having served some time in the Dwarven army, and began roaming the lands as a mercenary for hire. He explained to his family and superiors that he felt that it would do him some good to spend a hundred years or so traveling the lands and learning of other races and cultures firsthand. He is somewhat famous as a mercenary who does his best to complete his contracts, though he never strays beyond a moral "gray area". Somehow, Durin found himself near the village of Reisui, where he heard the lord of the village was seeking contracts for the heads of some orcs. Possessions: Weaponry: On his right hip, he carries a short sword. On his left hip, he carries a long knife. Both weapons were forged by his brother, who left his signature design in the hilts of the blades. The hilts have small rubies and emeralds encrusted in them, making their way in a helix pattern from the crossguard to the bottom of the hilt. The design is only used for weapons made for warriors of the Redfire family, so Durin never leaves his weapons anywhere that he can't see them. In his travleing pack, he carries several throwing daggers, used for taking out foes at a small distance. Gear: He carries a traveling pack, which has several pockets for supplies and gold, as well as a reinforced compartment for his daggers. Demeanor: Taciturn, but Obserbant and Neutral. Durin doesn't take much stock in appearances of race or wealth or anything, preferring to judge by personality, character, and actions. He doesn't speak much for pleasure, usually keeping things strictly business. He comes across as stern, but is more caring than he lets on, though he has to warm up to you first.
