I think I'm fairly good with a bow as well- I practiced by shooting at a newspaper-filled shoebox from twenty feet or so, when I first got my bow.

Of course, it was a compoundbow, and I was spending more time yanking them out of the ground because they went [i]through[/i] the shoebox...
