She sits up and turns, picking it up from her nightstand, quickly unlocking it and reading the message. Rubbing her face, she sits up, moving over to look at herself in the mirror. She's dressed rather plainly, wearing blue jeans and a simple grey t-shirt. She mumbles to her reflection, "This won't do, Kat..." She turns, moving to her closet. She pulls out a red blouse, before grimacing. "Don't want to overdo the patriotism..." It gets tossed on the bed, and is followed by a few more possible choices. A few minutes and after receiving few alcohol-related texts later, Kaitlyn is wearing a low-cut blue shirt, and a fresh pair of jeans. She nods into the mirror, before applying the only makeup she'll allow herself, a dark eyeliner to contrast her pale skin. With a quiet giggle, she pulls on her accustomed light blue hoodie, pulling the hood up and arranging her hair into her face. She leaves her room, checking the time on her phone as she walks past her mother, headed to the door. She offers a terse, “Going out” as she opens the door, her brown eyes widening a bit at the time. “Going to be late, Kat…” She walks quickly out to her car, sending out a text before setting out for Vanessa’s. To: Everyone On my way! Sorry if I’m late. “At least being late’s supposed to be fashionable…”
