Sic semper tyrannis
Years ago, the so-called Tyrant of Rome was killed on the grounds of the Roman Senate. Years have passed, as have many wars. Caesar's killers have been punished for their crime by force of arm, and all that remained was to split the spoils of war. But peace in the twilight days of the Republic is a hard thing to come by indeed. The two hunters of Caesars assassins, Antonius and Octavian, exert their influence over the Roman world without restraint. Forging a triumvirate with Lepidus, these three men are the strongest men in Rome. But there can only be one inheritor of Caesar. Battle lines are being drawn, and by the time this conflict ends, there will be no Triumvirate or Republic. There will be only Imperium. The birth of an Empire is happening, and it will be sanctified in the blood of its own citizens and Generals. This war can only hope to be ended by the daughters of the ancient Gods and Goddess' of Battle. Rome is eternal; he who controls it controls the world. If that's the case, the Ruler of the World will be decided in but a single war.
