I'd like to jump right into a case if possible, Bad Romancer, and Festive Spirit both call to me the most. Leaning more towards festive spirit though, some heartwarming moments to bring the cast together and thaw Jacob's icy spirit. Not to mention a Christmas time setting would give me an excuse to involve Jacob's daughter with the rest of the cast as well.
I'd like to cast my vote for Festive Spirit. Why you ask? Well I am happy to tell you! I think that the Christmas Holiday is a particularly good introduction to the characters because it gives us a chance to explore their inner lives. What does a Demoness think about Christmas? How does a single father deal with being stuck on the job at a time when he should be with his daughter. What memories does it stir in a lonely ex-marine? I think that because we all have (I would assume) Christmas as a cultural touchstone it is a particularly poignant start to our adventures. Also family of various sorts might be in town!
Also this. Bad Romancer, outside of potential character development, seems like the most interesting case to me. That being said, this is my first time doing an rp where critical thinking is involved, usually most of the thinking I do is strategy, tactics, and combat, so a tutorial isn't something I would object.
