The first pot of coffee was Ambrosia to him. Shawn let it filter and couldn't wait for it to completely get warm but the weather outside forced him to wait. He burned his tongue on the first cup, but it was worth it! The caffeine in his body and the flavor was great the sugar and powder creamer made those stairs seem trivial now. He let the warmth grow in his body. The second cup was interrupted by a voice out side. "A navy song? Who would..." Shawn put the cup down and listened intently the voice was a woman's voice! It was a sound from a silent city. He grabbed his crowbar and ran up the stairs. Getting only half way Shawn rushed back down stairs and put on his pants and boots. He shook his head as he did this. "Easy Shawn, don't get us killed now." He stood up letting a sigh go to help him relax. Shaw rose out of the boat to see a light on one of the boats and a female voice singing a navy song. Was this a trap? If it was it was a good one. Too bad had seen this movie. He put the crowbar back and tucked the gun in a fresh hole from the leather coat he found. A knife taped to his forearm just in case. He waited a moment to see who else might of heard this. Five minutes passed and the song was over he made noise as he walked down the wooden dock to the boat with the voice. Letting the heavy boots announce his presence before he even uttered a word. Regardless of her actions he stood his ground. "Please don't be alarmed I heard the singing and thought it an invitation." Shawn raises his hands to show them as empty. "My name is Shawn and I'm a neighbor of sorts. Could you douse the light? You'll attract other scavengers who would think of you as a cast off treasure. I'm going to walk slowly away and it was nice meeting you."
