Looks like a solid foundation! It comes dangerously close to the 'longer' thing, but as long as Alabaster is more relaxed around his friends, the other player characters, he can be as distant to everything else as you want. However, I think you have managed to find a good balance with this character, so the concept will work, I think! Besides, there are plenty of characters that will contrast Alabaster quite heavily, so keep at it.
