Vice took long, confident strides on the busy street with the doctor at her side. She had completed her mission without any trouble for once and it felt surprisingly good. "You aren't just a doctor, are you? When I touched my sword back in Simmons's house, you put your hand on your bag and I doubt it was because you were afraid I'd steal it. You were pretty subtle, I'll give you that, but my eyes aren't so easily tricked you know. she told Alexander, with a soft smile on her face. She felt relaxed for the first time in weeks. Alex smiled back and nodded a bit, "I would be lying if I said I wasn't able to defend myself. Just a few things I picked up here and there from around the South Blue." He said casually as he looked around the streets at the people and shops. Only now did she notice how worn out she was from the lack of sleep and the extremes she had put her body throught these last few weeks in this city. She barely remembered the last time she had slept for more than an hour without having to run somewhere, fight someone or simply take care of an injured comrade. As soon as they reached the ship, she'd take a long, hot bath and then sleep until the end of the world if that's what her body wanted and not even Alzac would dare stop her. The sound of her Den Den Mushi broke her dreams of baths and naps although at the time she only expected Fukubei to inform her of his success. "You're late, you bas-" "Hey Vice, I'd really like to see you. Like right now." She froze in place, her eyes wide. Fukubei was a skilled fighter and now she could feel the tension in his voice. This was no ordinary call. "Look up." That's all she wanted to say and she knew that it was all he needed to hear. They didn't need any more words to say what they had in both their minds and hearts, after all the countless battles they've fought together, they've grown to understand each other without words. Vice hid the Mushi in her pocket and glanced towards Alexander, her face now cold, barely capable of hiding her murderous intent. "You can come with me and fight against odds no ordinary man would want to face or head towards the port." Her voice was barely audible as she had already started running towards the warehouse. Alex smirked before quickly running after her, surprisingly catching up to the very fast women. "Odds no ordinary man would want to face? I am a doctors. It is a job that requires you to beat the odds on a regular basis in order to save lives." He said, "What I am trying to say is that the 'odds' have never deterred me before, and if people are in danger then they definitely won't stop me now." Alex took a strap out of his doctors bag and tied it to said bag, turning it into a satchel for easier mobility. Alexander took a moment to think about what he was getting himself into. On one hand this girl was probably a criminal, and going with her would mean he would be getting into trouble. However on the other hand Alexander was a doctor, which means that if someone was hurt then its his job to help them out. "What's the situation?" "Fukubei, my comrade, is in trouble and thing is, he is skilled enough that he should have no trouble against the guys the ruler of Pol Topelia, Dario Capper, has. So, we're up against both those grunts and someone new, someone strong enough to beat Fukubei." Vice replied, skeptical. Warehouse "You've got me, l-let them go you bastard." Fukubei hissed as he laid on the cold floor of that old warehouse. Not a nice place to die... he thought. This time his luck had abandoned him, this guy was at an entirely different level than him. Hell, even Alzac would have a problem with this guy, no way Vice can beat him and the soldiers. He pushed his fist against the ground and stood, his fellow soldiers against a nearby wall with guns aiming at them. They had lost this battle and maybe, just maybe, it was their last. "Come on-" Fukubei froze in place. A sense of impending doom filled him as he looked around him, no one having noticed that it was as if the whole world was holding its breath for a moment, the calm before the storm. "Look up." her message had been. He had no clue what she meant with that obviously coded transmission and he had absolutely thought of every possible explanation yet nothing really made sense. And then it dawned on him. She can't be... She can't be that literal! he thought, shocked, as for the second time this day, he was scared. But he did follow her command. Fukubei looked up, earning a few confused looks just before all hell broke loose. -Moments earlier, outside of warehouse- "So, obviously, am gonna cut the roof in half, jump into the warehouse and kick everyone's ass. Simple." Alex looked at her as if she had grown a second head, "Cut the roof ... in half? With your sword?" he asked in disbelief. "Like ... horizontally?" "It's simple, you take a katana, breathe in and then you simply cut. I was planning vertically but yeah, sure, horizontally is fine too." Vice said as she looked at her sword with a loving look in her eyes. He had heard of crazier things happening when out at sea, hell he's SEEN crazier things, but to cut a roof in half with a katana? "Well whatever, once you make your entrance I'm gonna throw a couple smoke bombs so your people can escape, sound like a plan?" he said as he took out two metallic cylinders. "Sounds great, you're awfully skilled for just a doctor though, aren't ya? she replied, eyeing those cylinders in Alexander's hands. Then, Vice of the Revolutionaries stood across the warehouse and raised her beloved blade, Izanami, with the sun's rays reflecting on the cold metal. "Awfully nice day to die, Doc!" she yelled as she jumped towards the roof, a devilish smile on her face. Nothing surpassed the thrill of a battle against the odds. "Cleave!.. Izanami!" Vice's blade separated the roof apart from the building with her blade as if it were like butter, the roof sliding off the building and falling to the floor. Many of the guards in the building yelled and screamed in shock, not knowing what was going on. Alex chuckled a bit, "Well, no turning back now," He said as he ran forward "Hidden Gadgets:" He yelled as he tackle himself through the door, "Smoke Bomb Times 2!!!" He threw the two cylinders in his hands in a straight line, with them timed to go off right in the center of the crowd of enemies. As the other rebels took this opportunity to escape, Alex proceeded to run up to the injured rebel Fukubei, "Are you ok? How's your condition?" "W-who are you?" he asked "I'm just a doctor." Alex said with a smirk as he looked up,"Well Vice, you're up!!!" Vice didn't need her eyes to find her opponents, their yelling did the trick for her. In a single moment, she jumped right in the middle of a group of them holding her sword in one hand and its scabbard in the other, she was going for crowd control not a massacre. "In 12 seconds you will all be down, in pain but alive. Even think about thinking of getting up and I will cut you in so many pieces even ants won't be able to find you." Some of them cried, some raised their swords yet one thing they all had in common. Fear. Vice felt respect for these soldiers, standing against the odds the same way she did before despite the fact that they had never trained in their lives as hard as she trained in a day. The moment the last one touched the ground, Vice had already been sheathing her sword. She might have drawn blood but no one was dead or dying. "These are not worthy foes." As the smoke cleared, it showed Vice standing in the center of the floor surrounded by an assortment of unconscious or injured soldiers. "Didn't leave any for me?" Alex said before seeing what seemed to be an injured enemy soldier trying to escape. Alex took out of his bag was seemed to be some weird metal device which unfolded to reveal to be a small boomerang. "I'm sorry but I think you should get some rest." He said as he threw the boomerang, making it hit the soldier right in the back of the head, knocking him unconscious. "Doctors orders." Alex looked back to the middle of the room to see Vice staring down the strong looking man, sword drawn. Alex then walked forward and stood behind Vice. "This guy seems a little tougher then those grunts. Need backup?" Vice eyed the last man standing of her opponents and he looked way above the grunts they had just taken care of. She unsheathed her blade and stood between him and the escaping revolutionaries. "Alexander?... This guy is way stronger than the rest. Perhaps stronger than me. I want you to think real hard about whether you want to stay or leave with the rest. Either way, I will cover the retreat." she whispered, dead serious. This guy beat Fukubei. He is no pushover she thought. "And neither am I, I told you before that odds have never scared me before." Alex said as he reached behind his back and took out a strange looking boomerang. "My name is Alexander Storm, the Aboriginal." he told her as he got into a fighting stance. "Feeling lucky today, punks?" the enemy said as he charged towards them.
