Its constitution asserts the party's role in the administration of all areas of government and politics. The General Secretary performs critical administrative and executive functions, including the national organization of the party, state appointments and establishing policy. Political organizations must have the endorsement of the Socialist Worker's Party to participate in elections. The President of Salodonia is its titular head of state and nominal commander-in chief of the military. The Prime Minister of Salodonia is the head of government, and presides over a council of ministers who represent over 25 ministries and commissions within the state. Below him are three deputy prime ministers who oversee these organizations. Head(s) of Government:

General Secretary Danilo Abelli
President Carlo Battiato
Prime Minister Cornelio Segreti
Economy: A moderate percentage of Salodonia’s land is suboptimal for agriculture, resulting in a reliance on imports for food. It lacks substantial amounts of natural resources, but is notable for natural gas, petroleum, lignite, sulfur, and pyrites. Other mineral deposits include lead, manganese, zinc, mercury, and bauxite. Marble and other stone commonly used for construction are plentiful. Salodonia’s waters are abundant with fish, making them an important export commodity. Major exports include machinery and vehicles, mineral fuels, petroleum, lead, marble & stone, seafood products, furniture, textiles, and wine. Major imports consist of metals, chemicals, oil, minerals, production machinery, and foodstuffs (grain, livestock, etc.)

Primary Species: Human Population: 43 million estimated Culture: (This is often the most neglected, yet most important section. How you fill this out determines how other nations see you and how the normal people in your nation will act in nearly every situation. What norms have been prevalent, what acts are taboos? Why have these things come about? Try to remember culture is a vital part of any NS.) Religious and other Beliefs: (Spirituality or secularism can be a huge part of peoples identities, so what do your people believe?) History: (This is one section you really can’t fill out alone. Iron Rain is indisputably a sandbox in that you’ve only been given vague details and a theme. So it is VITAL you collaborate with your neighbours and other players not just to craft your own history, but to craft the history of the greater world around you.)

Territory: Climate: (Our world is warmer than Earth, but not by too much. Northern climates will have the same difficulties as they would have in the real world and other climates can be said to be much the same. Feel free to be detailed here; a temperature doesn’t make a climate so be specific about any geographical details.) Cities, bases, etc: (This can be a list, or an internal map.) Agriculture: (Dependant on your climate and other factors, this can be shorter but as always detail means a better world to RP in.) Industry: (It’s an RP about this, so tell me what sort of industry does your nation have?)

Military: The Salodonian People's Army has seen a massive influx of volunteers in recent years as a result of a growing patriotic phenomenon. Prior to the expulsion of the country's monarchy, Salodonian soldiers had been drawn by conscription, with service terms of three years. Afterwards, conscription had been done away with and the military began recruiting volunteers - men with the passion to sign up arguably made better soldiers than those slogging through compulsory service. Nowadays, Salodonian line infantry is known for high morale and enthusiasm, even in undesirable conditions. The division is the largest unit of military organization next to an army; one infantry division consisting of 24,000 men. They are comprised of two infantry brigades, each containing two 4,583-strong infantry regiments. These regiments are further broken down into two 1,057-strong battalions each. A battalion contains four 263-strong infantry companies, a 80-strong machine gun company, a 180-strong non-combat labor company, a battalion of cavalry, a 1,959-strong field artillery regiment, military police companies, and engineer battalion, a medical company and a supply company. A cavalry division contains two cavalry brigades, further divided into two 657-strong regiments each. One of these regiments is comprised of four 141-strong squadrons. Cavalry divisions also contain a horse artillery regiment and non-combat personnel. The standard infantryman's uniform consists of a grey-green tunic and matching trousers. Black marching boots are worn in wet weather, whereas a more traditional Salodonian-style shoe is worn when it is dry. Grey greatcoats are worn in cold weather, or otherwise rolled up in a soldier's pack. Ranks and units are marked by the piping of a uniform's shoulder straps and collar. Soldiers wear peaked caps, lined with the color denoting their branch. The standard service rifle is a straight-pull bolt-action rifle chambered for a 8x50mm cartridge. It combines a respectable rate of fire of 30-35 rounds per minute with great reliability.
