The idea of using AI to replace human labor is already happening. It's quite crazy and amazing. A good video about it is here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Pq-S557XQU . For my own developments, I am mostly working on the angle of teaching AI science, knowledge, language, and social skills. This includes the scientific method so it may learn rather than be instructed alone. I chose this in part because through it, AI can understand and communicate about the world. It also is a friendlier direction because knowledge is inherently a cooperative effort. If the AI eventually gets as powerful as commonly feared, it would want to work with us. I doubt greatly that will happen like it is portrayed, though. For the demo, it will probably be more on the language aspect.
