[@Willy Vereb] Is this still happening?
Excuse me for my absence, yeah, of course it is going to happen. I'll create the OOC thread soon but before that I need to tell a few things about the game. 1.) Map As you see there are 20x10 squares. Each square has the area of 2500x2500 km In actual pixels (which is unfortunately not reflected in the uploaded pics, is there a free image uploader which allows big pictures?) the square is 250x250 pixels so a single pixel square is 100 km^2. In short a pixel on the pic is the size of an average city. 10x10 pixels would be a small country. Depending on how powerful your faction is your starting area may be larger or smaller than that. 2.) Game To prevent players from getting too ahead of others I'll use a turn system. You can interact with people, send out diplomats or fight out battles but when something big happens it'd be capped so everyone can react before we move on. Each turn would usually encompass a month of time passing, unless we agree on a different timeframe. Alright, I give you gus an example. The Galactic Empire Expedition Force led by Darth Vader had arrived to Ardessen. They set up a small colony somewhere in A1. Since they are relatively powerful (albeit the most over the top parts being toned down) they have only a minor force. They can send diplomats to the 3 neighboring factions: Lizardmen Soviets Noldor Elves The elves and communists respond favorably but the Lizardmen kill the Empire's ambassador. To punish them the Empire mobilizes an infantry force to punish the lizards. Except the stormtroopers walk in the swamps and ambushed by lizardmen who have enhanced strength and stone spears made of a strange kind of rock. The battle ends in failure. all of this would happen within the same turn. Following this the Empire starts working on quick means to allow their soldiers to better fight in the swamps (research orders). The Empire also sent a military force to A2. Due to the rough terrain and limited number of vehicles this army would only arrive in the next turn. Lastly you begin working on to replace your lost soldiers. Just like making settlements, this would be accelerated during the RP. Usually you can replace 10% of your starting army under a single turn. This could be raised by researching techs or finishing other developments to your faction. Oh well, maybe it isn't so convincing if I just describe it. Tommorrow I post the IC and also give you guys a live example what I mean. Similarly I will respond to the other players tomorrow. Good night!
