Kito watched the first man fall into the abyss, it was clear he had lacked strength required to live another day; but then again, food was becoming more and more scarce, which typically meant some people went hungry and lost strength in the process. His eyes flickered to the leader of the expedition, he had made it across. Good, at least he still had strength to lead. Kito looked back at the others, some of them had visible signs of hunger, they wouldn't make it across the ravine. Turning his head back to the cable, he stepped forward, grabbing it. He carefully inched himself over the ravine until the ground was no longer there, using his strength, he managed to swing his legs and cross them around the top of the cable. He pulled himself along the line, hand over hand, just as he used to do during his training. He did his best to ignore the brisk wind that howled as he crossed, threatening to blow him down into the abyss with the man before him. When he made it to the other side, he stood and brushed the snow off him, taking a few steps off to the side afterwards. He turned to look at the others, "Some haven't eaten for days, don't expect those people to make it." he said. He turned from the ravine and began searching the immediate area for any sort of tracks, an indication that food would be nearby. He spotted a set a few feet from himself and moved closer, crouching down to examine them. Hmm. Hoofprints. Obviously not horses. Goat maybe? Might be a ram. Regardless, these look a few days old, they're likely not around here anymore. It'd be nice if it was, but it seems unlikely. he thought to himself.
