The first strike was falling and the second was landing on the grass. It wasn't exactly a dizzying feeling like he had expected, but the third strike was definitely wondering where he was and why he wasn't inside. Just a few moments ago, he was helping an old man help clean the interior of his house to raise a little extra money and now Ruby Maddox was sitting on the grass in an unknown location. There was the painting he was asked to move, something that. . called to him. Almost like it echoed in his heart -- . . and that sounded totally ridiculous. But none the less, he touched it and ended up falling through. Ruby shook his head, looking around. He seemed to have landed in front some sort of school. . well, he didn't exactly believe in magic, but he didn't disbelieve in either. This would probably be a good time to start believing -- better than any other, he had to admit.
