(Flashback) “You have terrible hand and eye coordination.” a much younger Hajime said. He was facing an opponent out on the school grounds in the garden area. His opponent was a man with a height of 5’6 who weighed 250 Ibs. The man had a bald head, shirt off, and the bottom half of a gi around his lower body with sandals. He held a long katana in both hands, while Sin’chi stood with his current attire dual-wielding his two katanas. His right hand held his katana backward, the length of the blade stretching past his back, while his left hand held his katana normally, the length of the blade stretching past his chest. Hajime had a much focused look on his eyes, while the man he faced seemed a bit cocky. He was one of the candidates who applied for the headmaster position…and this was their final battle. The victor would definitely become headmaster of Mikado Daigaku. “You are pretty fast, Hajime-san! But your technique is flawed as well! Heeyah!” the man yelled, running quickly at Hajime. When he got in close, the man swung his katana diagonally from top left to bottom right toward Sin’chi’s chest. Hajime squinted his eyes and spun his body backward. When he landed he saw that the man held his katana downward when he swung. Sin’chi brought his left foot forward and used it as a leverage to kick off of the ground to leap at the man in front of him. When he came close, he brought his right hand around while swinging his body toward his right as well. The backward held katana in his right hand came slashing down toward the man’s upper torso; while his body was in spinning momentum, he also prepared to use his left hand which held one katana normally. The left hand came swinging around as well once his right sword brushed past the man’s chest slicing him clean. The left sword sliced down the same wound, forcing the man to back ward holding his chest. When Hajime stopped, his back faced the man. Hajime narrowed his eyes at the ground, hearing the man yell in utter pain. “Y-you…got m-me…” he said before he collapsed. Sin’chi heard a loud thud when the man hit the ground. The spectators around them looked in astonishment at Sin’chi’s skill and speed. Suddenly another man appeared before Sin’chi. “You’ve passed the headmaster test. Congratulations, Hajime-sensei.” He said. Afterwards, everyone in the area bowed in respect to Sin’chi…but he wasn’t feeling it all too well. Instead of enjoying that moment, he put his swords back in their sheaths and simply walked away from them all. (Flashback end) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Day 1 - Monday - 9:55 am] Hajime looked around and saw other faces enter the room. They all looked like they were prepared for class and one of the girls even announced her name…Hitomi Matsumoto. He was proud there were some who were not nervous about introducing themselves. As he gazed upon them all he sensed how much strength they carried. He could sense this by using his energy which is a mandatory skill that all students must learn. Focusing your energy is very important before you graduate from the school. The energy can do many things to your body. It can enhance your speed, allow you to walk and run on walls, water, and it can help you keep focus of your abilities further enhancing their power. When everyone sat down he began speaking. “Welcome to Mikado Daigaku. I am headmaster, Sin’chi Hajime and it appears that I will be your homeroom instructor for the rest of the year.” He said as he reached down to pick up a stack of packets. “In my hand are packets that are crucial to your arrival here at the school. I will pass the packets out according to the names.” He said. He went down each row of desks handing them their packets. “These packets offer information about the school as well as your dormitories in where you will be staying.” (To keep our cast close together, we will reside in the co-ed building of the dorms.) “Now that is finished. I want to ask you all something and I want some volunteers to raise their hand. How efficient are you in honing your energy?” he asked and waited.
